MoPH clarifies procedures for returning Umrah performers to Qatar

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health has indicated that citizens and residents returning from Umrah who are unable to obtain a valid PCR test from the country they are coming from will be allowed to board their flights provided they undergo a PCR test upon arrival at Hamad International Airport or Abu Samra border crossing station for a fixed fee of 300 QR per test.
As part of the travel and return policy to Qatar under the Covid-19 pandemic, the MoPH noted that according to Saudi Arabia’s rules, only people with certified vaccination doses can perform Umrah and visit Mecca.
MoPH added that people planning to travel to perform Umrah should refer to the policy and procedures announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
الدوحة: أوضحت وزارة الصحة العامة أنه سيتم السماح للمواطنين والمقيمين القادمين من العمرة واللذين يتعذر عليهم الحصول على اختبار PCR ساري من دولة القدوم بالصعود على متن رحلاتهم شريطة الخضوع لفحص PCR عند الوصول إلى مطار حمد الدولي أو منفذ أبو سمرة البري مقابل رسوم محددة وقدرها 300 ريال قطري لكل اختبار.
وأشارت الوزارة – ضمن سياسة السفر والعودة إلى قطر في ظل جائحة (كوفيد-19) – إلى أنه وفقًا لقواعد المملكة العربية السعودية فإن الأشخاص الحاصلين على جرعات تطعيم معتمد فقط هم من يمكنهم أداء العمرة وزيارة مكة المكرمة.
وأضافت أنه يتعين على الأشخاص الذين يخططون للسفر لأداء العمرة الرجوع إلى السياسة والإجراءات المعلنة من قبل وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية.
