Women’s demands for recreational facilities that respect their privacy

Doha: A number of women demanded the necessity of allocating beaches for them and providing recreational places to exercise, and stressed that there is a dearth of recreational places that allow women to stroll in the open air and enjoy the atmosphere of the sea.
Women said in a survey conducted by “Al Sharq”: We are still in dire need to establish clubs, beaches and places to exercise and picnic with privacy, and preserve customs and traditions.
They also praised the experience of Simaisma Beach for women, which was provided with barriers separating the rest of the beaches to ensure privacy, which won the admiration of many families.
They also demanded the necessity of generalizing the experiment to include other beaches in the country, especially that Qatar is surrounded by water from three sides and enjoys beautiful beaches.
They demanded the expansion of beaches and recreational places and establishing swimming pools, stressing that this would contribute to increasing tourism promotion and make Qatar a destination for families.

الدوحة: طالب عدد من السيدات بضرورة تخصيص شواطئ للنساء وتوفير أماكن ترفيهية مخصصة بهن لممارسة الرياضة، وأكدن على أن هناك ندرة في الأماكن الترفيهية التي تسمح للسيدات بالتنزه في الهواء الطلق والاستمتاع بأجواء البحر.
وقالت السيدات في استطلاع أجرته معهن “الشرق”: ما زلنا في حاجة ماسة لإنشاء نواد وشواطئ وأماكن لممارسة الرياضة والتنزه تتسم بالخصوصية، وتحافظ على العادات والتقاليد.
كما أشدن بتجربة شاطئ سميسمة المخصص للنساء والذي تم تزويده بحواجز عازلة عن بقية الشواطئ لضمان الخصوصية، الأمر الذي نال إعجاب العديد من العائلات، كما طالبن بضرورة تعميم التجربة لتشمل شواطئ أخرى في الدولة خاصة أن قطر تحيط بها المياه من ثلاث جهات وتتمتع بشواطئ خلابة.
وطالبن بالتوسع في الشواطئ والأماكن الترفيهية وإنشاء برك سباحة، وأكدن أن هذا من شأنه ان يساهم في زيادة الترويج السياحي ويجعل قطر قبلة للعائلات.
