Doctors for Al-Sharq: the unvaccinated are hotbeds for Coronavirus mutations

Doha: Doctors refuted what some websites that are not based on scientific studies and research are promoting on the effectiveness of the covid-19 vaccine on Delta and Delta Plus strains, confirming that based on data issued by the World Health Organization and International newspapers published on the 3rd of this month that approved vaccines against “Covid-19” are as effective as 95% in addressing the severity of symptoms caused by the infection with the strains “Delta” and “Delta Plus”, and thus contribute to the reduction of admissions of infected patients to hospitals and intensive care units, reflecting a reduction in deaths from Coronavirus infection.

Doctors surveyed by Al-Sharq called on members of the community from groups eligible for covid-19 vaccine who have not yet been vaccinated to register and obtain the vaccine in order to protect themselves in the first place, and to protect their families and society, especially those most at risk of symptoms associated with Covid-19, stressing that there is no justification for the fears of this group, pointing out that these groups should follow the approach method by seeing the percentage of deaths from those infected with the virus from the vaccinated and the unvaccinated to see the vast difference in the percentages announced by the ministries of public health in the Gulf, Arab and international countries, to show that the number of deaths of infected people increases among the unvaccinated and not the other way around.

Doctors considered that people who have not been vaccinated are hotbeds in society for virus transmission, especially among their families, especially since they may be infected with the virus without any visible symptoms and transmit it to groups at risk of complications associated with virus infection like the elderly and people with chronic diseases, patients with life-threatening immune diseases and threaten their lives, and also they hinder the state’s efforts to reduce and eliminate the spread of the virus, stressing the need to adhere to precautionary measures and the use of face masks, avoiding crowded indoor areas, and taking care of physical spacing to control and restrict the epidemic and thus return to life like a number of countries that have reached vaccination rates to the limit where they have abandoned precautionary measures, particularly dispensing with face masks.

الدوحة: فند أطباء ما تروجه بعض المواقع غير المستندة إلى دراسات وأبحاث علمية حول فعالية اللقاح المضاد لفيروس كورونا “كوفيد – 19” للسلالتين “دلتا” و”دلتا بلس”، مؤكدين أنَّه وبناء على بيانات صادرة عن منظمة الصحة العالمية ونشرتها صحف عالمية في الثالث من الشهر الجاري أنَّ اللقاحات المعتمدة المضادة لفيروس كورونا “كوفيد – 19” ذات فعالية تصل إلى 95 % في التصدي لحدة الأعراض الناجمة عن الإصابة بالسلالتين “دلتا” و”دلتا بلس”، وبالتالي تسهم في خفض حالات دخول المرضى المصابين للمستشفيات ولوحدات العناية المركزة، مما ينعكس على خفض حالات الوفاة بسبب الإصابة بفيروس كورونا.

ودعا أطباء استطلعت “الشرق” آراءهم، أفراد المجتمع من الفئات المؤهلة للحصول على اللقاح المضاد لفيروس كورونا “كوفيد – 19” من غير المطعمين حتى الآن للتسجيل والحصول على اللقاح بهدف حماية أنفسهم في المقام الأول، وحماية أسرهم والمجتمع وخاصة الفئات الأكثر عرضة لخطر الأعراض المصاحبة عند الإصابة بكورونا، مؤكدين أنَّه لا مبرر للمخاوف التي تعتري هذه الفئة جرَّاء الحصول على اللقاح المضاد للفيروس، لافتين إلى أنَّ على هذه الفئات أن تتبع أسلوب المقاربة من خلال الإطلاع على نسبة الوفيات من الذين أصيبوا بالفيروس من المطعمين ومن غير المطعمين ليلمسوا الفرق الشاسع في النسب التي تعلنها وزارات الصحة العامة على مستوى الدول الخليجية والعربية والعالمية، ليتضح أنَّ أعداد الوفيات للمصابين ترتفع عند غير المطعمين وليس العكس.

واعتبر الأطباء أنَّ الأشخاص من غير الحاصلين على اللقَاح يشكلون بؤرا في المجتمع لنقل العدوى لاسيما في أوساط أسرهم، سيما وأنَّ هؤلاء قد يصابون بالفيروس دونما أية أعراض بادية عليهم فينقلونه للفئات المعرضة لخطر المضاعفات المصاحبة للإصابة بالفيروس من كبار السن وذوي الأمراض المزمنة، ومرضى الأمراض المناعية مما يهدد حياتهم ويجعلها على المحك، كما أنهم يعوقون جهود الدولة في الحد من انتشار الفيروس والقضاء عليه، مشددين على ضرورة الالتزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية من استخدام أقنعة الوجه الواقية “الكمامة”، وتجنب الأماكن المغلقة المزدحمة، والحرص على التباعد الجسدي للسيطرة على الوباء وتقييده وبالتالي عودة الحياة إلى سابق عهدها مثل عدد من الدول التي بلغت نسب الحصول على اللقاح للحد الذي تخلَّت فيه عن الإجراءات الاحترازية، لاسيما الاستغناء على “الكمامة”.
