Strategic Studies Center of Qatari Armed Forces, NESA Center sign MoU
مركز الدراسات الاستراتيجية بالقوات المسلحة يوقع مذكرة تفاهم مع مركز نيسا الأمريكي
Doha: The Strategic Studies Center of the Qatari Armed Forces has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies of US Department of Defence, as part of efforts to strengthen strategic relations between the two friendly countries’ defence ministries.
The MoU was signed by the Director of the Center for Strategic Studies Dr Hamad Mohammed Al Marri, and Deputy Director of NESA David Lamm. Al Marri said that the partnership between the two centres will serve the Qatari armed forces in the field of military and strategic studies and research that the two sides will cooperate in accomplishing them, in addition to the other aspects of cooperation.
The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of a workshop held by the Center for Strategic Studies with the NESA Center in Washington, DC, from October 1 to 5, under the title “Strategic Dialogue and the Future of Joint Cooperation”.
وقع مركز الدراسات الاستراتيجية التابع للقوات المسلحة القطرية، مذكرة تفاهم مع مركز نيسا التابع لوزارة الدفاع الأمريكية، وذلك ضمن جهود تعزيز العلاقات الاستراتيجية بين وزارتي الدفاع في البلدين الصديقين.
وقع المذكرة اللواء الركن (دكتور) حمد محمد المري قائد مركز الدراسات الاستراتيجية، والسيد ديفيد لام نائب مدير مركز نيسا.
وأوضح قائد مركز الدراسات الاستراتيجية، أن هذه الشراكة بين المركزين ستخدم القوات المسلحة القطرية، في مجال الدراسات والبحوث العسكرية والاستراتيجية التي سيقوم الجانبان بالتعاون في انجازها ، علاوة على ما تضمنته المذكرة من أوجه التعاون الأخرى .
يذكر أن المذكرة تم توقيعها على هامش ورشة العمل التي عقدها مركز الدراسات الاستراتيجية مع مركز نيسا بواشنطن ، خلال الفترة من الأول حتى الخامس من أكتوبر الجاري ، والتي كانت تحت عنوان “الحوار الاستراتيجي ومستقبل التعاون المشترك”.
