Amir Holds Telephone Conversation with the Russian President

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held via telephone a conversation with HE President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The call reviewed bilateral relations and the means to enhance bilateral cooperation in the economic, investment, and sports fields, particularly cooperation in the field of hosting the World Cup 2022. HE the Russian President in that regard thanked HH the Amir for participating in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2021), which had an impact on enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, HH the Amir expressed his thanks to the Russian President for hosting the State of Qatar in this year’s forum, adding that he looks forward to seeing the results of the forum contribute to enhancing joint cooperation between the State of Qatar and Russia to higher levels.
The call also dealt with regional and international developments, led by developments in the region.

جرى خلال الاتصال استعراض العلاقات الثنائية والسبل الكفيلة بدعم وتطوير التعاون المشترك بين البلدين في مجالات الاقتصاد والاستثمار والرياضة خاصة التعاون في مجال استضافة وتحضيرات كأس العالم 2022، وفي هذا الصدد شكر فخامة الرئيس الروسي، سمو الأمير على المشاركة في منتدى سانت بطرسبورغ الاقتصادي الدولي (SPIEF2021)، والتي كان لها أثر في تعزيز وتطوير التعاون القائم بين البلدين.
من جانبه، أعرب سمو الأمير المفدى عن شكره لفخامة الرئيس الروسي على استضافة دولة قطر في المنتدى هذا العام، متطلعا سموه أن تسهم نتائج المنتدى في رفع علاقات التعاون المشترك بين قطر وروسيا إلى مستويات أرحب.
كما تناول الاتصال المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية، وفي مقدمتها تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة.
