Msheireb Properties Receives 2021 USGBC Middle East Leadership Award

Doha: Msheireb Properties, Qatar’s leading sustainable property developer, received the 2021 USGBC Middle East Leadership Award from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), appreciating the companys Outstanding Commitment to Advancing Green Building for its flagship project Msheireb Downtown Doha, the world’s first sustainable downtown regeneration project.

As the only winner for this award from Qatar, the prestigious award marks a new milestone achievement for Msheireb Properties joining an impressive slate of awardees that include organizations, projects and individuals around the world who are using green building and sustainable practices to improve the quality of life for those around them.

This year’s recipients were recognized at the USGBC Leadership Awards Ceremony that took place recently during the inaugural USGBC Live virtual event.

“Following a difficult year, it is truly inspiring to recognize our green building leaders that have continued their commitment to green building and sustainable communities while adapting to the changing environments around us,” said President and CEO of USGBC Mahesh Ramanujam. “The 2021 USGBC Leadership Award awardees have improved our world through the power of green building and it is their contributions and work that have helped our communities stay safe and healthy.”

الدوحة: فازت مشيرب العقارية، بجائزة الريادة في الشرق الأوسط 2021 من المجلس الأمريكي للأبنية الخضراء، وذلك تقديراً لالتزامها الاستثنائي بتعزيز البناء الأخضر المتمثل في مشروعها الرائد مشيرب قلب الدوحة، المشروع الأول لإحياء وسط مدينة مستدام في العالم.

وتم تكريم الفائزين في حفل جوائز الريادة الذي أقامه مؤخراً المجلس الامريكي للأبنية الخضراء افتراضياً عبر /الإنترنت/.

وفي هذا السياق، قال السيد مانيش رامانوجام، الرئيس والرئيس التنفيذي للمجلس الأمريكي للأبنية الخضراء :” بعد عام حافل بالظروف الصعبة، إنه من المهم حقاً تكريم المؤسسات والشركات الرائدة في مجال الأبنية الخضراء التي واصلت التزامها بهذا النهج وبالمجتمعات المستدامة ونجحت في التأقلم مع البيئة والظروف المتغيرة من حولنا” .. مضيفا “وقد عمل الفائزون بجوائز المجلس الامريكي للأبنية الخضراء 2021 على تحسين عالمنا من خلال إظهار أهمية المباني الخضراء ومساهمتها في مساعدة المجتمعات في البقاء بأمان وسلامة وصحة جيدة”.

وقد جاء تكريم مشيرب العقارية، تقديراً لمشروعها الرائد مشيرب قلب الدوحة الذي يعد واحداً من المدن الأذكى والأكثر استدامة في العالم، وقد حصلت جميع المباني في المدينة على تصنيف LEED الذهبي أو البلاتيني لترشيد وكفاءة استهلاك الطاقة، بينما التزمت المدينة بأعلى معايير الأبنية الخضراء والخدمات الذكية.

وتهدف مشيرب العقارية إلى إثراء حياة الناس والمجتمعات وتحسين طريقة عيشهم من خلال بناء مدينة ذكية ومستدامة بالكامل لتصبح وجهة مثالية للسكن والعمل والترفيه.
