Doha: Citizens and businessmen have called for the development of public beaches in the state’s sea destinations, from the area between Lusail and Al-Khor to Thakhira, as well as Zubarah, Al-Shamal, Ras Laffan and the southern region to Salwa Beach through a strategy that includes five-year plans to develop the country’s sea shores over the next 25 years.
They told Al Raya: Qatar has large beaches that need to be developed in partnership with the private sector to ensure sustainability while establishing controls to provide services at affordable prices, encouraging families to go to the beaches due to suitable prices and providing them with privacy.
They stressed that the establishment of public beaches will revive domestic and Gulf tourism, pointing out that investment in beach development maintains financial flows, which is economically viable as beaches are a key pillar in the tourism sector, which is at the heart of the future development process.
They called for public beaches to be provided with services and facilities such as umbrellas, cleaning services, restaurants, cafés, popular cafés, children’s play area, bathrooms, recreational areas, emergency canters and drowning and sunstroke rescue centers, diving and marine sports services, yacht rental service, parking lots, bicycle paths, hiking trails and green spaces.
They also called for the establishment of a joint stock company to develop public beaches in 5 stages, each phase is 5 years according to specific plans and vision, especially since the potentials and expertise are available, and the economic feasibility of this project is large and rewarding, demanding the preparation of a thorough study on public beaches and areas most in need of these beaches to target domestic tourism at affordable prices.

الدوحة: طالب مواطنون ورجال أعمال بتطوير شواطئ عامة بالوجهات البحرية للبلاد، تبدأ من المنطقة الواقعة ما بين لوسيل والخور حتى الذخيرة، وكذلك الزبارة والشمال وراس لفان والمنطقة الجنوبية حتى شاطئ سلوى من خلال استراتيجية تتضمن خططًا خمسية لتطوير الشواطئ البحرية للبلاد خلال ال 25 عامًا المُقبلة.
وقالوا لـ الراية: إن قطر تمتلك شواطئ مُمتدة على مساحات كبيرة تحتاج إلى التطوير بالشراكة مع القطاع الخاص لضمان الاستدامة مع وضع ضوابط لتوفير الخدمات بأسعار مناسبة، ما يشجع العائلات على الذهاب للشواطئ لتناسب الأسعار وتوفير الخصوصية لهم.
وأكدوا أن إقامة شواطئ عامة ستنعش السياحة الداخلية والخليجية، لافتين إلى أن الاستثمار في تطوير الشواطئ يحافظ على التدفقات المالية، وهو مُجدٍ اقتصاديًا على اعتبار أن الشواطئ ركيزة أساسية في قطاع السياحة الذي يعد جوهر عملية التنمية في المستقبل.
ودعوا إلى تزويد الشواطئ العامة بالخدمات والمرافق من مظلات وخدمات تنظيف ومطاعم وكافيهات ومقاهٍ شعبية ومنطقة ألعاب للأطفال وحمامات ومناطق ترفيهية ومراكز لتقديم الإسعافات الطارئة والإنقاذ من الغرق وضربات الشمس، وخدمات الغوص والرياضة البحرية وخدمة تأجير اليخوت ومواقف للسيارات ومسارات للدرجات الهوائية ومسارات لرياضة المشي ومساحات خضراء.
كما دعوا إلى ضرورة إنشاء شركة مُساهمة لتطوير الشواطئ العامة على 5 مراحل تتضمن كل مرحلة 5 سنوات وفق خطط ورؤية محددة، خاصة أن الإمكانات والخبرات متوفرة، والجدوى الاقتصادية من هذا المشروع كبيرة ومجزية، مُطالبين بإعداد دراسة وافية حول الشواطئ العامة والمناطق الأكثر احتياجًا لهذه الشواطئ لاستهداف السياحة الداخلية بأسعار مُناسبة.
