Four arrested for trying to smuggle gold out of Qatar
الداخلية تضبط عصابة تحول الذهب إلى بودرة بغرض تهريبه خارج قطر
Doha: Al Shamal Security Department arrested four suspects after they tried to smuggle gold out of the country illegally by converting it into powder form.
The department received information about a gang working to smuggle gold abroad and by intensifying the search and investigation, they managed to apprehend the first accused. On interrogation, he confessed and directed the officers to the rest of the accused, who were of Asian nationality, and were caught in possession of gold bars.
The tools and devices they used to convert gold into powder were also found, in addition to financial invoices for the value of gold. They were arrested and the seized items were referred to concerned authorities to initiate legal procedures.
Ministry of Interior appealed to the public to cooperate with them in the event of ant suspicions activities by reporting it immediately to reduce such crimes.
الدوحة: تمكنت إدارة أمن الشمال بوزارة الداخلية من القبض على أربعة متهمين من الجنسية الآسيوية إثر قيامهم بمحاولة تهريب الذهب إلى خارج البلاد بطريقة غير مشروعة من خلال تحويله إلى بودرة.
وتعود التفاصيل إلى ورود معلومات حول تشكيل عصابي يعمل في تهريب الذهب إلى الخارج، وبتكثيف البحث والتحري، تم التوصل إلى المتهم الأول وبالتحقيق معه، اعترف بما نسب إليه وأرشد إلى بقية المتهمين، حيث تم ضبطهم في حالة تلبس وفي حيازتهم سبائك ذهبية.
وقالت وزارة الداخلية – على حسابها الرسمي بموقع تويتر – إنه تم العثور على الأدوات والأجهزة التي يستخدمونها لتحويل الذهب إلى بودرة بالإضافة إلى فواتير مالية بقيمة الذهب، وعليه تم تحريزها وإحالة المتهمين والمضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لمباشرة إجراءاتها المتبعة في هذا الشأن.
وناشدت الجهات المختصة بوزارة الداخلية الجمهور الكريم بأهمية التعاون معها في حالة الاشتباه في مثل هذه الحالات، بالإبلاغ الفوري للحد من وقوع مثل هذه الجرائم.
