وزير السياحة السوداني يؤكد على أهمية “المشروع القطري السوداني للآثار”
Khartoum: Sudan’s Minister of Tourism, Antiquities and Wildlife, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Abu Zaid underlined that expanding the areas of fruitful cooperation and strategic partnerships between Sudan and Qatar contributed to the recovery of the tourism sector throughout Sudan and to increasing the number of foreign tourists, especially the European tourists.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Sudanese Minister praised the Qatar-Sudan Archaeological Project (QSAP) for its role in promoting the tourism sector in the country.
QSAP is a large-scale programme that aims to investigate, preserve and promote Sudan’s remarkable heritage and history. It represents a bold and transformative approach to heritage resource management for Sudanese Nubia designed to consolidate and preserve ancient sites by supporting archaeological surveys of unexplored landscapes and the excavation and conservation of these sites.
The programme acts as a catalyst that brings together fragmented expertise in the heritage sector in Sudan into a cohesive and sustained effort for the benefit of the countrys history.
Dr Mohammed Mustafa Abu Zaid said that the project prompted the Ministry of Tourism, Antiquities and Wildlife to strengthen its plans to make the most of Qatar’s expertise and experiences for the development of the tourism sector in his country.
He described his visit to Doha last week as “successful and fruitful”, and said that the visit opened new horizons for strengthening the bilateral relations.
The Minister noted that the visit included meetings for the joint committee in charge for following-up the QSAP. The meetings resulted in high-level understandings that reflected the commitment of the Qatari side to continue the project as planned and to expand its scope to include other areas, as well as the Qatar’s approval for the rehabilitation of the National Museum of Sudan.
The Sudanese Minister described the step as a positive development that serves the Sudanese interests in this regard.
He highly appreciated Qatar’s keenness on developing the tourism sector in Sudan and supporting its expansion despite the current circumstances, noting that the current situation has not affect Doha’s projects in Sudan, which reflect its honest commitment to its obligations to Khartoum.
He noted that the next period will also witness more bilateral agreements and understandings in the cultural and archaeological fields, affirming that the relations between the two countries are stable and developing in all fields to serve regional and international stability.
Speaking about Qatar’s support to the tourism sector, the Sudanese Minister told QNA that the number of foreign tourists visiting archaeological areas in the Nile and Northern States is rising rapidly.
For example, the number of German tourists who have arrived in Sudan in 2017 reached 4 thousand tourists, compared to 2 thousand in 2016. He expected the figure to increase significantly during the current year.
He noted that Qatar-Sudan Archaeological Project (QSAP) is largest global project for restoration of monuments, adding that the number of foreign tourists visiting QSAP areas exceeds 500 tourists per day, which reflects the unprecedented progress of the project.
Through QSAP, Qatar Museums will provide funding to 42 missions from 25 institutions and 12 countries involved in the excavation and conservation of heritage sites that date from the prehistoric era until the pre-modern period.
Sudan’s Minister of Tourism, Antiquities and Wildlife Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Abu Zaid said that his Ministry will pay attention to projects that promote the tourism industry in the country through the rehabilitation of the private sector along with partnerships and global investments supporting the national economy.
He expected the tourist season this year to see great development with the entry of a number of states in the tourism system of the country, especially Darfur states, which began in the practical stages of promoting tourism, after the implementation of the “Doha Document for Peace in Darfur”.
أكد الدكتور محمد أبوزيد مصطفي وزير السياحة والآثار والحياة البرية في السودان، أن توسيع مجالات التعاون المثمر والشراكات الاستراتيجية لبلاده مع دولة قطر ساهم في انعاش أداء القطاع السياحي في عموم السودان، وفي زيادة القدوم السياحي الاجنبي خاصة من قبل السياح الأوروبيين، مثمنا دور المشروع القطري – السوداني لترميم الآثار في السودان في الدفع بمؤشرات القطاع السياحي في البلاد.
ويهدف المشروع القطري السوداني إلى دراسة التراث السوداني وتاريخه والحفاظ عليه، ويتبنى أسلوبا مميزا في إدارة الموارد التراثية في منطقة النوبة السودانية من أجل رفع كفاءة المواقع القديمة والحفاظ عليها، من خلال تعزيز الدراسات الأثرية للمواقع غير المكتشفة والتنقيب فيها والحفاظ عليها. ويجمع البرنامج تحت مظلته العديد من الخبرات المتخصصة في قطاع التراث السوداني، حيث تتضافر جهودهم جميعا لخدمة تراث الدولة وتاريخها.
وقال الوزير السوداني، في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/ اليوم، إن هذه المعطيات دفعت وزارته إلى تعزيز خططها للاستفادة القصوى من الخبرات والتجارب القطرية لصالح تطوير السياحة في بلاده، واصفا الزيارة التي أداها لدولة قطر خلال الأسبوع الماضي بـ “الناجحة والمثمرة”، والتي فتحت آفاقا جديدة لتمتين العلاقات الثنائية نحو الأفضل.
وأشار إلى أن الزيارة شهدت اجتماعات اللجنة المشتركة بين البلدين المختصة بمتابعة المشروع القطري لتنمية الآثار في السودان، وتوصلت لتفاهمات عالية المستوى اتسمت بالتزام من الجانب القطري بالاستمرار في المشروع وفق ما هو مخطط له وتوسيع دائرته ليشمل مناطق أخرى من السودان، إلى جانب الموافقة القطرية على تأهيل متحف السودان القومي .
كما وصف وزير السياحة السوداني هذه الخطوة بأنها تطور ايجابي يخدم المصالح السودانية في هذا الخصوص، مثمنا عاليا الحرص والرعاية القطرية لعملية تطوير السياحة في بلاده، حيث قال في هذا السياق “إننا نقدر عاليا ونثمن المواقف القطرية بمواصلة الدعم والتوسع رغم الظروف التي تمر بها قطر حاليا، حيث لم تؤثر هذه المعطيات على انسياب ومواصلة مشروعات الدوحة في السودان مما يعكس التزام قطر الصادق والدقيق بتعهداتها مع الخرطوم”.
وأوضح الدكتور محمد أبوزيد مصطفي أن الفترة القليلة المقبلة ستشهد توقيع المزيد من الاتفاقيات والتفاهمات الثنائية في المجال الثقافي والأثري، مؤكدا أن علاقات البلدين مستقرة ومتطورة وتشهد تقاربا في كافة المجالات بما يخدم الاستقرار الاقليمي والدولي.
وفيما يتعلق باستفادة السودان من الدعم القطري في مجال الآثار، قال وزير السياحة السوداني لـ /قنا/، إن أول النتائج الملموسة للدعم القطري لقطاع السياحة في السودان تمثلت في زيادة القدوم السياحي الاجنبي لمناطق الآثار في ولايتي نهر النيل والشمالية في شمال السودان، حيث أفادت التقارير بوجود تقدم متسارع الخطى في هذا المجال.
وذكر أنه على سبيل المثال فإن عدد السياح الألمان الذين وفدوا إلى السودان خلال العام الماضي بلغ 4 ألاف سائح مقابل ألفين عام 2016 ، متوقعا أن يشهد هذا الرقم ارتفاعا كبيرا خلال العام الجاري، معتبرا المشروع القطري لترميم الأثار في السودان أضخم مشروع عالمي لترميم الآثار.
وأفاد وزير السياحة والآثار والحياة البرية في السودان، في تصريحه لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/، بأن عدد السياح الأجانب الذين يزورون مناطق المشروع القطري السوداني للآثار يتجاوز 500 سائح يوميا، مؤكدا أن هذه الأعداد تعكس التقدم غير المسبوق للمشروع الذي سيزيد نجاحا في المستقبل مع اعلان الحكومة في الخرطوم تسهيل وصول وتحرك السياح داخل البلاد.
وفي إطار المشروع القطري السوداني للآثار، تموّل متاحف قطر 42 بعثة من 25 مؤسسة في 12 دولة، وتضطلع هذه البعثات بأعمال التنقيب والحفاظ على المواقع التراثية التي ترجع إلى حقبة ما قبل التاريخ حتى فترة ما قبل العصر الحديث.
ويساعد التمويل الذي تقدمه متاحف قطر للبرنامج في إطالة فترة التنقيب ومهام ما بعد التنقيب وإدارة المواقع وإطلاق المبادرات التعليمية.
وكشف وزير السياحة السوداني، في ختام تصريحه لـ /قنا/، عن أن وزارته ستولي اهتمامها خلال الفترة المقبلة لمشروعات ترقية صناعة السياحة في البلاد من خلال تأهيل القطاع الخاص ودخوله في شراكات واستثمارات عالمية تدعم الاقتصاد القومي، متوقعا أن يشهد الموسم السياحي للعام الحالي طفرات كبيرة بدخول عدد من الولايات في المنظومة السياحية العالمية للبلاد وفي مقدمتها ولايات دارفور التي بدأت في المراحل العملية للترويج الدولي للثروات السياحية الضخمة في بلاده بعدما تأكد العالم من تنفيذ /وثيقة الدوحة للسلام في دافور/ على أرض الواقع وبدء حصد السودانيين لنتائجها المثمرة.
