Recipients of these 6 vaccines are exempt from quarantine

Doha: Dr. Yusuf Al-Maslamani, Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital at Hamad Medical Corporation, said Qatar is still adopting six types of vaccines whose recipients are exempt from quarantine, the Russian vaccine is not among them.

The Ministry of Health had earlier announced the names of vaccines accepted in Qatar whose recipients are exempt from quarantine:

1. Pfizer/BioNTech
2. Moderna
3. AstraZeneca
4. CoviShield Vaccine (AstraZeneca)
5. Janssen/Johnson & Johnson Vaccine
6. Sinopharm vaccine

On those who have been vaccinated for 9 months, Dr. Al-Maslamani explained in remarks made in the social distance program broadcasted on Qatar TV, Al Rayyan channel, and al-Kaas channels, saying that «the scientific committee continuously follows up on what is published globally on any research on the presence of antibodies in the body after 9 months, the countries that started vaccination before us have more information, and now there are follow-ups based on the scientific committee, which in turn submits the matter to the strategic committee to make appropriate decisions.”

Dr. Al-Maslamani also stressed the importance of adhering to precautionary measures and avoiding complacency until the number of infections is under controlled.

الدوحة: أكد الدكتور يوسف المسلماني – المدير الطبي لمستشفى حمد العام بمؤسسة حمد الطبيةالدكتور المسلماني إلى أنَّ قطر لا تزال معتمدة ستة أنواع من اللقاحات المعفي أصحابها من الحجر الصحي، ولا يوجد من بينها اللقاح الروسي.

وكانت وزارة الصحة قد أعلنت في وقت سابق عن أسماء اللقاحات التي تقبل في قطر وتعفي الحاصلين عليها من الحجر الصحي وهي:

1. لقاح فايزر/ بايونتيك
2. لقاح موديرنا
3. لقاح أسترازينيكا.
4. لقاح كوفيشيلد (أسترازينيكا)
5. لقاح جانسين/ جونسون أند جونسون
6. لقاح سينوفارم

وحول من مضى على تطعيمه 9 أشهر أوضح الدكتور المسلماني في تصريحات أدلى بها في برنامج المسافة الاجتماعية الذي يبث على تلفزيون قطر، وقناة الريان، وقنوات الكأس قائلا « إنَّ اللجنة العلمية تتابع وبصورة مستمرة ما نشر عالميا أي بحث بوجود المضادات في الجسم بعد 9 أشهر، ففي دول بدأت التطعيم قبلنا فلها معلومات أكثر، وللآن هناك متابعات تقوم عليها اللجنة العلمية التي بدورها تطرح الأمر على اللجنة الاستراتيجية لتقوم باتخاذ القرارات المناسبة.»

كما شدد الدكتور المسلماني على أهمية الالتزام والتقيد بالإجراءات الاحترازية وتجنب التهاون بها حتى تتم السيطرة على أعداد الإصابات.
