Kula Lumpur: The Executive Office of the AFC endorsed the Competitions Commissions decision to grant the Uzbek Football Association the honor of hosting the AFC U-23 Championship 2022, as this will be the first time the tournament is held in Central Asia.
The championship will be held during the period of September 6-22, 2022. The decision was reached after a careful evaluation process of the candidate files, which included sporting standards, infrastructure and risk assessment, as well as preparations that took place in Uzbekistan that was preparing to host the AFC U-19 Youth Championship 2020 before being canceled.
South Korea won the last edition of the AFC U-23 Championship in 2020 in Thailand.
The tournament qualifiers will be held from October 23-31, 2021, in a grouping system, where the host countries for each group will be announced at a later time.
On the other hand, the Executive Office of the AFC decided to cancel the 2021 AFC Futsal Club Championship in the UAE, in light of the challenges posed by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, and in order to protect the health and safety of players, teams, officials and all parties to the game.
The Confederation decided to keep the UAE as the host of the 2022 AFC Futsal Club Championship.

وتقام البطولة خلال الفترة من 6 إلى 25 سبتمبر 2022، حيث تم التوصل إلى القرار بعد عملية تقييم دقيقة للملفات المترشحة، والتي تضمنت المعايير الرياضية والبنية التحتية وتقييم المخاطر، وكذلك الاستعدادات التي جرت في أوزبكستان التي كانت تتجهز لاستضافة بطولة آسيا للشباب تحت 19 عاماً 2020 قبل أن يتم إلغاؤها.
وكانت كوريا الجنوبية فازت بلقب النسخة الماضية من بطولة آسيا تحت 23 عاماً عام 2020 في تايلاند.
وتقام تصفيات البطولة خلال الفترة من 23 إلى 31 أكتوبر 2021، وذلك بنظام التجمع، حيث سيتم الإعلان عن الدول المضيفة لكل مجموعة في وقت لاحق.
من ناحية ثانية قرر المكتب التنفيذي في الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة اقدم إلغاء بطولة الأندية الآسيوية لكرة الصالات 2021 في الإمارات، في ظل التحديات التي تفرضها جائحة كورونا/ كوفيد-19 /، ومن أجل حماية صحة وسلامة اللاعبين والفرق والمسؤولين وكافة أطراف اللعبة .
وقرر الاتحاد إبقاء الإمارات مستضيفة لبطولة الأندية الآسيوية لكرة الصالات 2022.
