Doha: Having undergone the stringent evaluation of the MEA Transaction Finance Awards 2020 program, Commercial Bank, Qatars first private bank, emerges for another year as market leader in cash management and transaction banking, and garners a new award for 2020 from The Asian Banker: The Best Cash Management and Transaction Bank in Qatar award.
According to The Asian Banker, Commercial Bank “stood out as a digital pacesetter relative to its peers in Qatar,” and this is largely due to the significant digital adoption the Bank had undertaken before the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are delighted by our track record of supporting Qatari businesses and the economy as we pave way for a sustainable future. The Best Cash Management and Transaction Bank in Qatar award is testament to the strength and effectiveness of our persistent investment in technology and innovation to provide a unique customer and rewards service proposition,” the Banks GCEO, Joseph Abraham, said in a statement.
Raju Buddhiraju, EGM, Head of Wholesale Banking at Commercial Bank said: “Taking into consideration the challenges we faced in 2020, Commercial Bank has leveraged on its digital strategy by promoting its previously-established digital services, and launching new ones. Our cash management products have allowed customers to make the best out of banking from home.”
The Asian Banker underlines achievements in the key business and operational areas of the financial services industry and recognizes leadership in the cash management, trade finance and payments industries amongst international financial institutions in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

الدوحة: حصل البنك التجاري على جائزة “أفضل بنك في إدارة النقد وفي الخدمات المصرفية بقطر” لعام 2020، من مؤسسة /آشيان بانكر/، وذلك بعد أن خضع البنك لتقييم دقيق من قبل برنامج جوائز الخدمات المالية للشرق الأوسط للعام 2020.
وبحسب /ذا آشيان بانكر/، فقد أثبت البنك التجاري أنه “رائد رقميا مقارنة بالبنوك الأخرى في قطر”، ويعود ذلك بشكل أساسي إلى النهج الرقمي البارز الذي تبناه البنك قبل وقوع جائحة كورونا /كوفيد – 19/.
