Kuala Lumpur: HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Malaysia Fahad bin Mohammed Kafood said that the State of Qatar is moving forward in promoting workers’ rights, as the previous stage witnessed a remarkable development in promoting and protecting the rights of expatriate workers. In statements to an online Malaysian newspaper FMT, His Excellency explained that on the sidelines of the opening of the Road to 2022 exhibition, organized by the embassy in Malaysia’s Pavilion Mall, that State of Qatar has achieved many records in hosting the FIFA 2022 World Cup, which is the first World Cup to be held from November to December, and the first in the Middle East, in addition to the stadiums’ proximity to each other, with distances of no more than 25 kilometers, as football fans will able to take the Metro to transfer from one stadium to another in just a few minutes.
He added that the designs of the sports fields attract attention, and Malaysians can now enjoy the opportunity to view the models of these stadiums at the Road to 2022 exhibition, organized by the embassy.
His Excellency described the engineering design of the stadiums as really wonderful, pointing out Lusail Stadium as not only beautiful but also contains solar panels to generate clean energy, so it not only provides energy for itself, but also provides for the city of Lusail. He also included that Al-Bayt Stadium looks like a Bedouin tent, the Education City Stadium is scheduled to become an educational city after the tournament, where there are schools and kindergartens on an area of 12 square kilometers, and then there is the waterfront of Ras Abu Aboud Stadium with a surrounding lake in Doha, which is 100 percent ready.

وأوضح سعادته في تصريحات لصحيفة /FMT/ الإلكترونية الماليزية على هامش افتتاح معرض الطريق إلى 2022، والذي تنظمه السفارة في مجمع البافليون التجاري الشهير في ماليزيا، أن دولة قطر حققت العديد من الأرقام القياسية في استضافتها لمونديال 2022، بحيث ستكون هذه أول بطولة لكأس العالم تقام في الفترة من نوفمبر إلى ديسمبر، والأولى في الشرق الأوسط، وسيكون قرب الملاعب من بعضها البعض، بمسافات لا تزيد عن 25 كيلومترًا، أمراً غير مسبوق، حيث يمكن لعشاق كرة القدم ركوب قطار مترو الدوحة للتنقل من ملعب إلى آخر في غضون بضع دقائق فقط.
