Demands for a standard list of maintenance prices in garages

Doha: Citizens complained about the unjustified rise in maintenance prices in the garages of the industrial zone, and the lack of fixed pricing for some of the works that are determined according to the customer’s knowledge or ignorance of the type of maintenance required, demanding that radical solutions to this problem be found by obliging garages to price each type of maintenance and put them in a visible place in the garage to avoid frauds to which customers are exposed.

They stressed that some garages with skilled labor take advantage of its scarcity in the industrial zone, and determine excessive prices for maintenance, plumbing and vehicle paint, as one of the garages put the price of painting a car entirely at 15 thousand riyals, and there are garages that perform maintenance of engines at the price of 8000 riyals despite the usual price does not exceed 4000 riyals.

They noted that poor control of garages contributed to higher maintenance prices, which reached astronomical amounts, stressing the importance of following prices in garages, despite the recent decline in the prices of used cars.

They complained about the high prices of spare parts in agencies and used spare parts, whose prices are close to those of new parts, which require greater control, demanding a uniform list of maintenance prices in garages to put an end to the unjustified rise in spare parts prices.

الدوحة: اشتكى مواطنون من الارتفاع غير المبرر لأسعار الصيانة في كراجات المنطقة الصناعية، وعدم وجود تسعيرة ثابتة لبعض الأعمال التي يتم تحديدها وفق معرفة أو جهل الزبون بنوع الصيانة المطلوب، مطالبين بإيجاد حلول جذرية لهذه المشكلة عبر إلزام الكراجات بتسعيرة كل نوع من أنواع الصيانة ووضعها في مكان ظاهر في الكراج لتفادي عمليات الاحتيال التي يتعرض لها الزبائن. وأكدوا أن بعض الكراجات ممن لديها عمالة ماهرة تستغل شح المنطقة الصناعية في هذه العمالة، وتقوم بتحديد أسعار مبالغ فيها للصيانة والسمكرة ودهان المركبات، حيث وصل الأمر بأحد الكراجات أن وضع تسعيرة لدهان السيارة بالكامل ب 15 ألف ريال، كما أن هناك كراجات تقوم بعمل صيانة للمحركات بسعر 8000 ريال رغم أن السعر المتعارف عليه لا يزيد على 4000 ريال.

وأشاروا إلى أن ضعف الرقابة على الكراجات ساهم في ارتفاع أسعار الصيانة التي وصلت إلى مبالغ فلكية، مشددين على أهمية متابعة الأسعار في الكراجات، رغم انخفاض أسعار سوق السيارات المستعملة بصورة كبيرة في الآونة الأخيرة.

واشتكوا من ارتفاع أسعار قطع الغيار في الوكالات وقطع الغيار المستعملة التي تتقارب أسعارها مع أسعار القطع الجديدة وهو ما يستدعي الرقابة عليها بصورة أكبر، مطالبين بقائمة موحدة بأسعار الصيانة في الكراجات لوضع حد للارتفاع غير المبرر لأسعار قطع الغيار.
