E-scooters confuse motorists

Doha: A number of children and young people continue to drive electric scooters on the main streets and crowd out on speeding cars in a way that poses a danger to their lives, which calls on the competent authorities to prevent them by monitoring them on the main streets and intensify awareness campaigns through newspapers and media and invite them to drive on sidewalks or bicycle paths, in order to preserve their lives from the risk of possible accidents.
Citizens told Al-Raya that they continue to suffer because of delivery motorcyclists and their lack of commitment to safe driving on the main streets, which have not yet been resolved, and now the drivers of scooters of children and young people who cause traffic confusion because of trying to avoid them and not to hit them showed up.

الدوحة: يواصل عددٌ من الأطفال واليافعين قيادة السكوترات الكهربائية في الشوارع الرئيسية ومزاحمة السيارات المُسرعة بطريقة تُشكل خطورة على حياتهم، ما يستدعي من الجهات المُختصة منعهم عبر رصدهم في الشوارع الرئيسية وتكثيف الحملات التوعوية عبر الصحف ووسائل التواصل ودعوتهم لقيادتها على الأرصفة أو في مسارات الدراجات الهوائية، وذلك حفاظًا على حياتهم من خطر الحوادث المحتملة.
وأكّد مواطنون لـ الراية أنهم لا يزالون يواجهون معاناة بسبب سائقي الدراجات النارية الخاصة بتوصيل الطلبات وعدم التزامهم بالقيادة الآمنة في الشوارع الرئيسية، التي لم يتم حلها حتى الآن، ليظهر قائدو السكوترات من الأطفال واليافعين الذين يتسببون في إرباك الحركة المرورية بسبب محاولة تفاديهم وعدم صدمهم.
