MoCI signs MoU with Doha Institute for Graduate Studies
التجارة والصناعة توقع مذكرة تفاهم مع معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, yesterday. The Ministry was represented by Tareq Al Khalaf, Director of the Human Resources Department while the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies was represented by Dr Farid El Sahn, Professor and Director of the Executive Education Excellence Center.
The signing of the MoU comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to bolster the competencies of its human cadres and build societal partnerships across various sectors and industries including the education and scientific research sectors. The MoU reflects the Ministry’s belief in the important contribution of highly qualified human cadres to sustainable development.
On this occasion, Al Khalaf, highlighted the importance of the MoU, noting that it comes within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to develop human cadres and empower its employees by bolstering their knowledge and scientific skills through education and training programs that enable them to contribute to the accomplishment of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
For his part, Dr El Sahn said he was pleased to sign the MoU, which comes within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Ministry and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.
Dr El Sahn noted that the Institute is an educational institution that offers educational services while the Ministry of Commerce and Industry plays a key role in providing services to the state and citizens, which necessitates the promotion of joint cooperation to advance shared objectives, particularly with regard to the National Development Strategy 2018-2022, and Qatar’s economic diversification efforts.
Dr El Sahn explained that the MoU aims at promoting joint research and training programs to develop the skills of the Ministry’s employees while offering them the opportunity to obtain a master’s degree. On the other hand, the Institute will dispatch students to undertake practical training at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
In line with the MoU, the two sides will exchange expertise in the fields of scientific research and studies of mutual interest in addition to exchanging professional experiences, experts and researchers in their respective fields.
The Ministry and the Doha Institute will also co-organise conferences, seminars, specialised workshops and joint activities and cooperate in the fields of education and training provided for departments and executive leaderships at the Ministry.
The MoU also calls for the promotion of cooperation when it comes to discounted academic fees and scholarships according to the needs of the Ministry and its competencies, and in accordance with the Institute’s admission policies, terms and procedures.
Based on the MoU, the Ministry will offer vocational training and summer training opportunities for students of the Doha Institute, which will also encourage students to volunteer and participate in the Ministry’s activities.
وقعت وزارة التجارة والصناعة اليوم الخميس 25 أبريل 2019 مذكرة تفاهم مع معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا بهدف تعزيز التعاون في مجال التدريب المهني والابتعاث، وقد مثل وزارة التجارة والصناعة السيد طارق الخلف مدير إدارة الموارد البشرية، فيما مثل معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا الدكتور فريد الصحن مدير مركز الامتياز للتدريب والاستشارات في المعهد.
ويأتي توقيع مذكرة التفاهم في إطار حرص الوزارة على إعداد وتأهيل الكوادر البشرية العاملة في الوزارة والعمل على تطويرها، وكذلك في إطار حرصها على تكوين شراكات مجتمعية مع عدة قطاعات في مختلف التخصصات، بما في ذلك قطاع التعليم والبحث العلمي، علاوة على سعي الوزارة الدؤوب لبناء جيل قائم على العلم والمعرفة، وذلك من منطلق إيمانها بأن العنصر الأساسي للوصول إلى تنمية مستدامة هو المورد البشري الذي يتمتع بمؤهلات وإمكانيات عالية.
وبهذه المناسبة، أكد السيد طارق الخلف مدير إدارة الموارد البشرية بوزارة التجارة والصناعة على أهمية هذه المذكرة التي تأتي في إطار حرص الوزارة على تأهيل وإعداد الكوادر البشرية من موظفي الوزارة وتحصينهم بالعلم والمعرفة، وذلك من خلال تكوين شراكات استراتيجية ومجتمعية مع مختلف قطاعات الدولة سواء في مجال التعليم أو التدريب وغيرها من المجالات الأخرى، ومن أجل تحقيق رؤية قطر 2030.
ومن جانبه عبر الدكتور فريد الصحن مدير مركز الامتياز للتدريب والاستشارات في معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا عن سعادته بتوقيع مذكرة التفاهم، مشيرا إلى أنها تأتي في إطار الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين الوزارة والمعهد، لافتا إلى أن المعهد مؤسسة تعليمية تقدم خدمات تعليمية، وأن وزارة التجارة والصناعة وزارة هامة تقدم خدمات للدولة والمواطنين مما يستوجب تطوير التعاون بغرض خدمة الأهداف المشتركة خاصة فيما يتعلق باستراتيجية التنمية 2018 – 2022 ، واتجاه الدولة للتنويع الاقتصادي، وأن هنالك دور للمعهد في دعم الوزارة في هذا الاتجاه.
وقال إن الاتفاقية بين الوزارة والمعهد تهدف إلى القيام المشترك بالأبحاث والدورات التدريبة بهدف تطوير مهارات منتسبي الوزارة علاوة على توفير فرص لهم في المعهد لنيل درجة الماجستير، منوها إلى أن المعهد سيقوم أيضا بإرسال طلابه للقيام بالتدريب العملي بوزارة التجارة والصناعة.
وبموجب مذكرة التفاهم سيتعاون الطرفان على تبادل الخبرات في مجال البحث العلمي والدراسات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وتبادل الخبرات المهنية والخبراء والباحثين في اختصاصات الطرفين، وإقامة المؤتمرات والندوات وورش العمل التخصصية والفعاليات المشتركة، والتعاون في مجال التعليم وتدريب الإدارات والقيادات التنفيذية لموظفي الوزارة.
كما نصت مذكرة التفاهم على التعاون في تقديم الخصومات والمنح الدراسية وفق احتياجات الوزارة واختصاصاتها، وحسب ما تنص عليه سياسات القبول في المعهد وشروطه وإجراءاته، وكذلك تقديم التدريب المهني والتدريب الصيفي لطلاب معهد الدوحة، فضلا عن تشجيع طلاب المعهد على العمل التطوعي في أنشطة الوزارة.
