MOCI Seizes Toys Bearing Slogans Violating Islamic Values
التجارة والصناعة تنفذ حملات تفتيشية وتضبط لعبا تحمل شعارات مخلة بالقيم الإسلامية

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) carried out inspection campaigns on a number of shops in different regions of the country to monitor the compliance of suppliers within Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection, and Circular No. (2) of 2021 that it recently issued on refraining from trading goods bearing logos and symbols that are non-compliant with Islamic values, customs, and traditions.
The ministry explained that the recent inspection campaigns resulted in the seizure and release of several violations, represented in the seizure of children’s toys bearing slogans that violate Islamic values, customs, and traditions that violate Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection, and Circular No. (2) of 2021 issued by the ministry on refraining from trading goods bearing logos and symbols that are non-compliant with Islamic values, customs, and traditions.
These inspection campaigns come within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to monitor markets and commercial activities in the country, control prices, and detect abuses, counterfeit and non-conforming goods to protect consumers’ rights, the ministry said.
The ministry stressed that it will firmly confront anyone who neglects the implementation of their obligations stipulated in Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection and its implementing regulations. It will intensify its inspection campaigns and refer anyone who violates laws and ministerial decisions to the competent authorities to take action, the ministry added.
The Ministry urges all citizens and residents to report any goods bearing logos or designs contrary to customs and traditions and locate them so that the ministrys inspectors can take the necessary measures, through the following official channels the call center 16001 and MOCI social media accounts.

الدوحة: نفذت وزارة التجارة والصناعة حملات تفتيشية على عدد من المحال التجارية في مناطق مختلفة بالدولة، وذلك بهدف مراقبة مدى التزام المزودين بالقانون رقم /8/ لسنة 2008 بشأن حماية المستهلك، والتعميم رقم /2/ لسنة 2021 الذي أصدرته مؤخراً بشأن عدم تداول السلع الحاملة لشعارات ورموز مخلّة بالقيم الإسلامية والعادات والتقاليد.
وأوضحت أن الحملات التفتيشية التي نفذت مؤخرا أسفرت عن ضبط وتحرير عدد من المخالفات، تمثلت في ضبط لعب أطفال تحمل شعارات مخلّة بالقيم الإسلامية والعادات والتقاليد، الأمر الذي يعد مخالفاً للقانون رقم /8/ لسنة 2008 بشأن حماية المستهلك، و للتعميم رقم /2/ لسنة 2021، الذي أصدرته الوزارة بشأن عدم تداول السلع الحاملة لشعارات ورموز مخلّة بالقيم الإسلامية والعادات والتقاليد.
وقالت الوزارة إن هذه الحملات تأتي في إطار جهود الوزارة الرامية لمراقبة الأسواق والأنشطة التجارية بالدولة وضبط الأسعار والكشف عن التجاوزات والسلع المغشوشة والمقلدة وغير المطابقة للمواصفات القياسية، حمايةً لحقوق المستهلكين.
وأكدت أنها ستواجه بحزم كل من يتهاون في تنفيذ التزاماته المنصوص عليها في القانون رقم (8) لسنة 2008 بشأن حماية المستهلك ولائحته التنفيذية، مشددة على أنها ستكثف حملاتها التفتيشية، وستُحيل كل من يخالف القوانين والقرارات الوزارية إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات.
وأهابت الوزارة بجميع المستهلكين الإبلاغ عن أي سلع تحمل شعارات أو تصاميم منافية للعادات والتقاليد وتحديد مواقعها ليتسنى لمفتشي الوزارة اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة، وذلك من خلال مركز الاتصال 16001، وحساب وزارة التجارة والصناعة على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي: تويتر (@MOCIQATAR) والانستغرام (MOCIQATAR).
