Khaled Al-Naama, the official spokesman for the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, confirmed that Qatar’s readiness in terms of infrastructure and hosting the World Cup is close to 100%.
Al-Naama confirmed – in statements to the “Ghabga” program on Qatar TV with regard to the rumor that “Whoever leaves Qatar in June will not be able to return to the country,” – that the movement of vacations and travel abroad for residents and citizens will not be affected by the World Cup.
Al-Naama said regarding the rumor about the disruption of government departments during the World Cup, “work must continue, and every institution must find an appropriate formulation, what we went through during the Coronavirus pandemic trained us to handle difficult scenarios.”
He continued regarding the infrastructure of roads and streets, “The scope of our work in the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy is related to the World Cup stadiums and training grounds, and they have been fully completed.”
He added that there is coordination between the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy and some authorities such as Ashghal, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Traffic Department regarding road closures and infrastructure developments.

أكد السيد خالد النعمة، المتحدث الرسمي باسم اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث أن جاهزية قطر من ناحية البنية التحتية واستضافة كأس العالم تقترب من 100%.
وفيما يتعلق بشائعة “من يسافر في شهر يونيو لن يعود للبلاد”، أكد النعمة – في تصريحات لبرنامج “الغبقة” على تليفزيون قطر – أن حركة الأجازات والسفر للخارج بالنسبة للمقيمين والمواطنين لن تتأثر بكأس العالم.
وبشأن شائعة تعطل الدوائر الحكومية أثناء كأس العالم، قال النعمة: العمل يجب أن يستمر، وعلى كل مؤسسة إيجاد صياغة مناسبة، وما مررنا به خلال جائحة كورونا دربنا على العمل في سيناريوهات صعبة.
وحول البنية التحتية من طرق وشوارع، قال النعمة: نطاق عملنا في اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث يتعلق بملاعب كأس العالم وملاعب التدريب وهي أنجزت بالكامل.
وأضاف أن هناك تنسيقاً بين اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث وبعض الجهات مثل أشغال ووزارة المواصلات وإدارة المرور حول إغلاقات الطرق وتطورات البنية التحتية.
