Sheikha Al-Mayassa unveils the artwork “Two Orchids” by German artist Isa Genzken

Doha: Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayasa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Qatar Museums, has unveiled a new and distinguished work of art called “Two Orchids” by German artist Isa Genzken.
Her Excellency posted on Instagram pictures of the new artwork, and said: “I am pleased to announce a new and distinguished work of art Two Orchids – by German artist Isa Genzken, in collaboration with the Supervisory Committee for Beautification of Roads and Public Places of the Public Works Authority.
Her Excellency added: “This sculpture is a great celebration of life, which permanent existence means our inevitable annihilation, and it also reflects some of the qualities usually associated with flowers such as mystery, fragility, elegance, and beauty”.

الدوحة: كشفت سعادة الشّيخة المياسة بنت حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس أمناء متاحف قطر، عن عن عمل فني جديد ومتميّز يحمل اسم “زهرتا أوركيد” للفنانة الألمانية إيزا جينزكن.
ونشرت سعادتها عبر “إنستغرام” صورا للعمل الفني الجديد، وقالت: يسرّني الإعلان عن عمل فني جديد ومتميّز “زهرتا أوركيد” – للفنانة الألمانية إيزا جينزكن، وذلك بالتعاون مع لجنة الإشراف على تجميل الطرق والأماكن العامة بالدولة التابعة لهيئة الأشغال العامة.
وأضافت سعادتها: تُعتبر هذه المنحوتة بمثابة احتفاء عظيم بالحياة التي يعني وجودها الدائم فناءنا الحتمي، كما تعكس بعض الصفات التي ترتبط عادةً بالزهور مثل الغموض، والهشاشة، والأناقة، والجمال.
