7 things to avoid to spend a happy Eid

Doha: A number of medical directors and doctors have called on community members to follow the precautionary measures approved by the Ministry of Public Health since the Covid-19 pandemic, and to spend Eid Al-Fitr at home, with the aim of reducing the spread of the virus, avoiding further infections after Eid holidays, protecting lives, and protecting the government health sector from a double burden that may not be tolerated.

Doctors surveyed by Al-Sharq as Eid Al-Fitr approached considered that the decline in cases of infections and deaths depended on compliance with precautionary measures against the use of protective face masks, physical distancing, hand washing, as well as access to the coronavirus vaccine, noting that obtaining the two doses of the vaccine is not a justification or a pretext for negligence in the application of precautionary measures, and it is not an opportunity for gatherings or family visits that double during the holidays, and although family visits were necessary to achieve family kinship، it is now important to avoid these visits to achieve a legitimate purpose of protecting the lives of many, especially the elderly and people with chronic diseases, the weakest link due to their health status, which may have increased the chance of infection, especially by some infected individuals who do not show symptoms.

So members of the community must come together to address this day-to-day epidemic that is becoming more vicious and deadly than ever because of the new mutated strains.

الدوحة: دعا عدد من المديرين الطبيين والأطباء أفراد المجتمع باتباع الإجراءات الاحترازية التي أقرتها وزارة الصحة العامة منذ جائحة فيروس كورونا “كوفيد-19″، وقضاء إجازة عيد الفطر في المنزل، بهدف الحد من تفشي الفيروس، وتجنبا لمزيد من الإصابات بعد إجازة العيد، حماية للأرواح، وحماية للقطاع الصحي الحكومي من عبء مضاعف قد لا يحمد عقباه.

واعتبر الأطباء الذين استطلعت آراءهم “الشرق” مع اقتراب حلول عيد الفطر، أنَّ انخفاض حالات الإصابات والوفاة مرهون بالتقيد بالإجراءات الاحترازية من استخدام أقنعة الوجه الواقية، والتباعد الجسدي، مع غسل اليدين، إلى جانب الحصول على اللقاح المضاد لفيروس كورونا “كوفيد-19″، لافتين إلى أنّ الحصول على جرعتي اللقاح ليس مسوغا أو ذريعة للتهاون في تطبيق الإجراءات الاحترازية، وليست فرصة للتجمعات أو للزيارات العائلية التي تتضاعف خلال الأعياد، وعلى الرغم من أنَّ الزيارات العائلية كانت ضرورة لتحقيق صلة الرحم، بات الآن من المهم تجنب هذه الزيارات لتحقيق مقصد شرعي وهو حماية أرواح الكثيرين، لاسيما كبار السن وذوي الأمراض المزمنة، الحلقة الأضعف بسبب وضعهم الصحي الذي قد يكون سببا في زيادة فرصة الإصابة خاصة من قبل بعض الأفراد المصابين الذين لا تظهر عليهم الأعراض، لذا على أفراد المجتمع التكاتف للتصدي لهذا الوباء الذي يوما عن يوم يصبح أكثر شراسة وأشد فتكا من ذي قبل بسبب السلالات الجديدة المتحورة.
