Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held via videoconference on Wednesday evening.
Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi said the following statement:
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation provided by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments regarding the steps taken to curb the spread of COVID-19. The Cabinet underlined that the precautionary measures adopted to combat this pandemic shall continue.
The Cabinet then considered the topics listed on its agenda as follows:
The Cabinet approved a draft law on the protection of trademarks, copyright and neighboring rights of the International Football Association (FIFA), and decided to refer it to the Shura Council.
Among the provisions contained in the draft law are provisions that stipulate the registration of FIFA trademarks, the deposit of works, audio recordings, performances of performers and FIFA radio programs with the office, at the request of FIFA or its representative for this purpose. The power of attorney must be notarized.
The Cabinet approved a draft decision of the Minister of Justice renaming the chairperson and members of the Experts Affairs Committee and defining its system of work and remuneration.
The Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar and the National Police of Ukraine on cooperation in preventing and combating crime.
The Cabinet approved a draft air service agreement between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس مساء الأمس عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي.
وعقب الاجتماع أدلى سعادة الدكتور عيسى بن سعد الجفالي النعيمي وزير العدل والقائم بأعمال وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي:
في بداية الاجتماع استمع المجلس إلى الشرح الذي قدمه سعادة وزير الصحة العامة حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19)، وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء.
وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:
أولا – الموافقة على مشروع قانون بشأن حماية العلامات التجارية وحقوق المؤلف والحقوق المجاورة الخاصة بالاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (الفيفا)، وعلى إحالته إلى مجلس الشورى.
ومن بين الأحكام التي تضمنها مشروع القانون أحكام تقضي بتسجيل العلامات التجارية الخاصة بالفيفا، وإيداع المصنفات والتسجيلات السمعية وأداءات فناني الأداء والبرامج الإذاعية الخاصة بالفيفا، لدى المكتب، بناء على طلب الفيفا أو من توكله لهذا الغرض، ويجب أن يكون التوكيل موثقا.
ثانيا – الموافقة على مشروع قرار وزير العدل بإعادة تسمية رئيس وأعضاء لجنة شؤون الخبراء وتحديد نظام عملها ومكافآتها.
ثالثا – اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للتصديق على مذكرة تفاهم بين وزارة الداخلية بدولة قطر والشرطة الوطنية في أوكرانيا بشأن التعاون في منع الجريمة ومكافحتها.
رابعا – الموافقة على مشروع اتفاقية الخدمات الجوية بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة جمهورية أوزبكستان.
