International school in Doha closed due to financial losses

Doha: Al-Sharq has learned that The Bright Future International School in Doha will close because of what it described as financial losses that have plagued its business in recent times.
According to parents contacted by the site, the school sent them an official letter informing them that the current academic year 2020-2021 will be the school’s last academic year.
According to the letter reviewed by Al-Sharq website, the school has informed that June 17 will be its last working day in Doha, describing its decision as difficult after 25 years in Doha, and apologizing to parents for taking it.
The international school explained that it had reached out to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to raise school fees, which was approved, but the increase in fees was not enough to cover its expansions, and were spent on operating expenses, and the school expressed what it described as the continued support of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Through Al-Sharq website, parents call on the ministry to intervene to return the school to Qatar’s education map.
According to its website, The Bright Future International School was founded on April 16, 1996 and has grown significantly over the past 25 years.

الدوحة: علم موقع الشرق أن مدرسة المستقبل المنير العالمية بالدوحة ستغلق أبوابها بسبب ما وصفته بالخسائر المالية التي ألمت بأعمالها في الفترة الأخيرة.
ووفق أولياء أمور تواصل معهم الموقع، فقد أرسلت المدرسة إليهم خطاباً رسمياً تبلغهم فيه بأن العام الأكاديمي الحالي 2020–2021 سيكون آخر الأعوام الأكاديمية للمدرسة.
وأبلغت المدرسة – بحسب الخطاب الذي اطلع عليه موقع الشرق – بأن 17 يونيو المقبل سيكون آخر يوم عمل لها بالدوحة، واصفة قرارها بالصعب بعد 25 عاماً أمضتهم بالدوحة، ومعتذرة لأولياء الأمور عن اتخاذه .
وأوضحت المدرسة الدولية أنها تواصلت مع وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي من أجل رفع رسوم المدرسة، وهو ما تمت الموافقة عليه، لكن زيادة الرسوم لم تكف التوسعات التي قامت بها، وذهبت في النفقات التشغيلية، كما أعربت المدرسة عن ما وصفته بالدعم المستمر لها من وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي.
ويطالب أولياء الأمور – عبر موقع الشرق – الوزارة بالتدخل لإعادة المدرسة إلى خريطة التعليم الخاص بدولة قطر .
ووفق موقعها الإلكتروني، فإن مدرسة المستقبل المنير العالمية تأسست في 16 أبريل 1996 ، وشهدت نموًا كبيرًا على مدار الخمسة وعشرين عامًا الماضية.
