Green Tent Concludes 17th Season with a Poetry Symposium

Doha: The Green Tent of A Flower Each Spring program concluded its 17th season with a poetry symposium on the occasion of Doha, Capital of Culture in the Islamic World, in which a number of poets and writers from different Arab countries participated.

The symposium presented literary texts inspired by place, time, ideas, events, characters and artistic expressions about Doha’s merit to the title Capital of Islamic Culture from their personal writings and other Qatari, Arab and Western writers.

Head of A Flower Each Spring program Dr. Saif bin Ali Al Hajri highlighted Green Tent’s 17 years of giving and promoting knowledge, science and environmental sustainability, and that A Flower Each Spring program is an initiative launched by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, with the aim of promoting active interaction with nature and inspiring scholars, intellectuals, opinion-holders, poets, writers and artists of all generations, explaining that what Green Tent offers a kind of devotion by providing expertise, science and knowledge to others and urging people to preserve the environment.

Dr. Al Hajri added that this season is the second in a row in which the Green Tent is organized via visual communication technology, which has enabled participation of specialists and thinkers from different countries of the world. Each year, one or more of its sessions are devoted to writers and poets who share their creative works and enrich the intellectual and literary scene, he added, expressing his gratitude to all those in charge of the Green Tent and making it a success.

For their part, poets, writers and artists participating in the symposium expressed their gratitude for the Green Tent and its efforts to support cultural and literary life, as it is an important window for poets to view the general population in various Arab countries, where they recited a number of poems that support the selection of Doha as the capital of Islamic culture and pay tribute to the people of Qatar and their good endeavors.

They also presented several poems praising the Islamic religion and the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), and the Arab and Islamic world and its contributions to spreading virtue and good morals throughout the world, in addition to other poems on the importance of preserving nature.

الدوحة: اختتمت الخيمة الخضراء التابعة لبرنامج /لكل ربيع زهرة/ موسمها السابع عشر بندوة شعرية تحت عنوان /ملتقى الشعراء بمناسبة الدوحة عاصمة الثقافة الإسلامية/، شارك فيها عدد من الشعراء والأدباء من مختلف الدول العربية.

وتضمنت الندوة بعضا من النصوص الأدبية التي استلهمت المكان والزمان والأفكار والأحداث والشخوص والتعابير الفنية، حول أحقية الدوحة وجدارتها بلقب عاصمة الثقافة الإسلامية من مؤلفاتهم الشخصية ولأدباء آخرين قطريين وعرب وغربيين.

وأكد الدكتور سيف بن علي الحجري رئيس البرنامج، أن الخيمة استمرت 17 عاما من العطاء والعيش مع المعرفة والعلوم والاستدامة البيئية، وأن برنامج /لكل ربيع زهرة/ كمبادرة أطلقتها صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر هدفها تعزيز التعامل النشط مع الطبيعة وإلهام العلماء والمثقفين وأصحاب الرأي والشعراء والأدباء والفنانين على اختلاف الأجيال، موضحا أن ما تقدمه الخيمة هو نوع من التعبد بأن تنقل الخبرات والعلم والمعرفة إلى الغير وتحث الناس على المحافظة على البيئة كما أمر بذلك الله سبحانه ونبيه الكريم.

وأضاف الدكتور الحجري أن هذا الموسم هو الثاني على التوالي الذي تنظم فيه الخيمة عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي مما أتاح التواصل مع متخصصين ومفكرين من مختلف دول العالم، كما تخصص في كل عام حلقة أو أكثر للأدباء والشعراء الذين يشاركون بإبداعاتهم ويثرون المشهد الفكري والأدبي بالعديد من المفردات والمعاني والصور الراقية، معربا عن امتنانه لجميع القائمين على أمر هذه الخيمة وإخراجها بهذه الصورة المشرفة.

من جانبهم أعرب الشعراء والأدباء والفنانون المشاركون في الندوة عن امتنانهم للخيمة الخضراء وجهودها في دعم الحياة الثقافية والأدبية كونها نافذة مهمة لإطلالة الشعراء على عموم الناس في مختلف الدول العربية، حيث ألقوا عددا من القصائد الشعرية التي تدعم اختيار الدوحة كعاصمة للثقافة الإسلامية وتشيد بأهل قطر ومساعيهم الطيبة وأياديهم البيضاء وتفوق بلادهم وتفردها وأهلها بالعديد من الخصال العربية الأصيلة، وجهودها وإبداعاتها في نشر الثقافة الإسلامية واللغة العربية ومساهماتها في الارتقاء بالمجتمعات العربية والإسلامية الفقيرة.

كما ألقوا قصائد عدة في مدح الدين الإسلامي والنبي الكريم محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم والعالم العربي والإسلامي، وإسهاماته في نشر الفضيلة والأخلاق الحميدة في ربوع الدنيا، وقصائد أخرى عن أهمية الحفاظ على الطبيعة، واصفين إياها بالأم الحنون.
