May 13th is the first day of Eid al-Fitr astronomically

Doha: Qatar Calendar House announced that according to accurate astronomical calculations, Thursday, May 13, 2021, is the first of Shawal and the first day of Eid al-Fitr, and that Wednesday, May 12, is complementary to the holy month of Ramadan 1442 H.
“The legitimate decision on the entry of Shawal remains the prerogative of the Crescent Vision Investigation Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Qatar,” it said in a tweet.
It is noteworthy that the vision of the crescent is influenced by various factors including climatic factors, geographical factors, and astronomical factors such as the period of stay and the age of the crescent and its rise from the western horizon at sunset.
It is worth noting that the beginnings and endings of the Hijri months depend on the movement of the moon in its orbit around the Earth, while the beginnings and endings of the gregorian months depend on the movement of the Earth in its orbit around the Sun.
الدوحة: أعلن دار التقويم القطري أنه طبقًا للحسابات الفلكية الدقيقة فإن يوم الخميس 13 مايو 2021م هو غرة شهر شوال وأول أيام عيد الفطر المبارك، وأن يوم الأربعاء 12 مايو هو المتمم لشهر رمضان المبارك 1442هـ.،
وأضاف في تغريدة عبر حسابه في تويتر: “ويبقى القرار الشرعي بدخول شهر شوال من اختصاص لجنة تحري رؤية الهلال بوزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية بدولة قطر”.
يُذكر أن رؤية الهلال تتأثر بعوامل متعددة منها العوامل المناخية، والعوامل الجغرافية، والعوامل الفلكية مثل فترة المكث وعمر الهلال وارتفاعه عن الأفق الغربي وقت غروب الشمس.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن بدايات ونهايات الأشهر الهجرية تعتمد على حركة القمر في مداره حول الأرض، بينما تعتمد بدايات ونهايات الأشهر الميلادية على حركة الأرض في مدارها حول الشمس.
