Egypt’s national team recruit best lineup for Arab Cup in Doha
منتخب مصر يشارك بأفضل تشكيل له في كأس العرب بالدوحة
Doha: The Egyptian Football Association has confirmed participation in the Arab Cup tournament, which will be held under the umbrella of FIFA in Doha in December with the first national team and technical staff and with the best lineup available at the time of the tournament.
In a statement on its website, the Egyptian Association confirmed that its position on the tournament comes in recognition of its Arab dimension and its establishment for the first time under the supervision of FIFA, its technical importance and the interest of Egyptian football fans, and it is held at a time suitable for the preparation of the first national team to participate in the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be held in Cameroon next January, the month immediately following the Arab tournament.
The Egyptian Association added that it received the order of its Arab participation from the first glance of announcement with appreciation and attention, which was reflected in the formation of the Egyptian delegation participating in the ceremony of holding the draw of the tournament headed by the president of the association and accompanied by the director of the first national team Mohamed Barakat and Hossam Al Badri, coach of the first national team was supposed to be present among the delegation had it not been for his coronavirus infection, which prevented him from participating.
الدوحة: أكد الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم المشاركة في بطولة كأس العرب التي تقام تحت مظلة الفيفا في الدوحة خلال ديسمبر المقبل بالمنتخب الوطني الأول وجهازه الفني وبأفضل تشكيل له يكون متاحا في توقيت إقامة البطولة.
وأكد الاتحاد المصري – في بيان على موقعه الإلكتروني – أنه موقفه من البطولة يأتي تقديرا لبعدها العربي ولإقامتها لأول مرة تحت إشراف الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم، وأهميتها الفنية واهتمام جماهير الكرة المصرية بها، كما أنها تقام في توقيت يناسب إعداد للمنتخب الوطني الأول للمشاركة في نهائيات بطولة الأمم الأفريقية المقرر إقامتها بالكاميرون في شهر يناير المقبل وهو الشهر التالي مباشرة للبطولة العربية.
أضاف الاتحاد المصري أنه استقبل أمر مشاركته العربية منذ الوهلة الأولى للإعلان عنها بكل التقدير والاهتمام، وهو ما انعكس على تشكيل الوفد المصري المشارك في مراسم اجراء قرعة البطولة برئاسة رئيس الاتحاد وبصحبته مدير المنتخب الوطني الأول محمد بركات وكان من المفترض تواجد حسام البدري المدير الفني للمنتخب الوطني الاول ضمن الوفد لولا إصابته بفيروس كورونا الذي منعه من المشاركة.
