Gianni Infantino Assures that FIFA Against ESL

Zurich: President of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, confirmed the Federation’s complete opposition to the launch of the European Super League, indicating that the dissident clubs calling for the launch of this league must bear the consequences of their decisions, and that FIFA is undoubtedly opposed to this project.

Infantino said that the UEFA Super League is a closed market, separate from the current institutions, from leagues, from federations, as well as from UEFA and from the International Federation as well.

On the same level, the UEFA General Assembly approved at the conclusion of its meeting held in Montreux, Switzerland, yesterday, with the unanimous agreement of the fifty-five participating members on a statement condemning the establishment of the European Super League.

For his part, UEFA President Alexander Ceferin stressed that clubs that think they are big and untouchable today should remember where they came from.

The UEFA president added that the clubs participating in the European Super League “must realize that if they are European giants today, that is partly due to UEFA.” He believed that the European Union could not “lose the next judicial battle.”

President of the German Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, in turn condemned the launch of the Super League project and said in this regard: “The European sports model is unique and is based on competing in fair competitions that give priority to sporting merit. زوريخ: أكد السيد جياني انفانتينو رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم / الفيفا / معارضة الاتحاد التامة لإطلاق دوري السوبر الأوروبي،مبينا انه يتعيّن على الأندية المنشقة الداعية إلى إطلاق هذا الدوري أن تتحمل عواقب قراراتها، وان /الفيفا/ يعارض من دون أدنى شك هذا المشروع.

وقال إنفانتينو أن دوري السوبر الأوروبي هو عبارة عن سوق مغلق، وهو منفصل عن المؤسسات الحالية، وعن الدوريات، وعن الاتحادات، وكذلك عن الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم وعن الاتحاد الدولي أيضاً.

وعلى الصعيد ذاته صادقت الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم في ختام اجتماعها الذي عقدته بمدينة مونترو السويسرية يوم الأمس بإجماع الأعضاء الخمسة والخمسين المشاركين على بيان يدين تأسيس دوري السوبر الأوروبي.

ومن جانبه أكد ألكسندر تشيفرين رئيس الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم الـ/يويفا/ أن الأندية التي تعتقد أنها كبيرة ولا يمكن المساس بها اليوم يجب أن تتذكر من أين أتت.

وأضاف رئيس الـ/يويفا/ أن الأندية المشاركة في دوري السوبر الأوروبي “عليهم أن يدركوا أنهم إذا كانوا عمالقة أوروبا اليوم، فإن ذلك يرجع جزئيًا إلى الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم”.ورأى ان الاتحاد الاوروبي لا يمكن “ان يخسر المعركة القضائية المقبلة”.

وكان السيد توماس باخ رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية الألماني قد ندّد بدوره بمشروع انطلاق دوري السوبر وقال في هذا الصدد: “النموذج الرياضي الأوروبي فريد من نوعه يرتكز على خوض منافسات عادلة تمنح الاولوية للجدارة الرياضية. هذا النموذج مهدد اليوم، ويواجه تحدياً من خلال مقاربة مبنية على الربح”.

وقد أعلنت امس الأول /الاثنين/ ستة أندية إنجليزية (ليفربول، مانشستر يونايتد، أرسنال، تشلسي، مانشستر سيتي، توتنهام)، مع برشلونة وريال مدريد وأتلتيكو مدريد الاسبانية، ويوفنتوس وإنتر وميلان الإيطالية اطلاق مسابقة قد تنسف دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وكان الاتحاد الاوروبي لكرة القدم هدد باستبعاد هذه الاندية ومنع لاعبيها من المشاركة في البطولات القارية والمسابقات المحلية من ضمنها دوري ابطال اوروبا، بيد ان رئيس ريال مدريد ورئيس الدوري السوبر الجديد فلورنتينو بيريس اعتبر بأن هذا الأمر مستحيل.
