Amiri Maintenance Corps team wins Armed Forces Shield for Football

Doha: The team of the Amiri Maintenance Corps won the Armed Forces Shield for Football after beating the Amiri Air Force team 3-0 in the final match which was played at Al-Arabi Sports Club yesterday.

The tournament organised by the Military Sports Association under the patronage of the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General (Pilot) H E Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.

The sponsor of the tournament crowned the teams that won the first positions, and handed the Shield of the championship to Commander of the Qatari Amiri Maintenance Corps Major-General Yousef bin Ahmed Al Mannai.

The final match was attended by senior officers of the Qatari Armed Forces.

The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) won the third place while the Intelligence and Security Unit won the fourth.

تحت رعاية وحضور سعادة الفريق الركن (طيار) غانم بن شاهين الغانم رئيس أركان القوات المسلحة القطرية، اختتمت صباح أمس بطولة القوات المسلحة القطرية لكرة القدم، والتي ينظمها الاتحاد الرياضي العسكري؛ حيث توّج فريق سلاح الصيانة الأميري القطري بدرع البطولة، بعد فوزه في المرحلة الأخيرة على فريق القوات الجوية الأميرية القطرية بنتيجة (3-0)، في المباراة التي أقيمت على ملعب النادي العربي الرياضي.

وفي نهاية المباراة، قام سعادة راعي الحفل بتوزيع الهدايا على أصحاب المراكز الأولى وتسليم درع البطولة لسعادة اللواء يوسف بن أحمد المناعي قائد سلاح الصيانة الأميري القطري.

حضر المباراة عدد من كبار الضباط في القوات المسلحة.

يُذكر أن فريق قوة الأمن الداخلي (لخويا) حلّ في المركز الثالث، وفريق وحدة الاستخبارات والأمن في المركز الرابع.;
