3 Stadiums for 25th Gulf Cup if Approved in Iraqi city of Basra

Baghdad: Head of the inspection team Dr. Hamid Al-Shaibani, emanating from the committee studying the files of hosting the Gulf 25 in the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation in the Iraqi city of Basra, confirmed the approval of three stadiums to host the next version of the tournament competitions in the event to be held in this city Iraqi.

In a statement, Al Shaibani explained that the 65,000-seat soccer Basra International Stadium, and Al Mina Stadium, which has a capacity of 30,000 spectators, are the two main stadiums for the tournament, adding that a secondary stadium with a capacity of 10.000 spectators has been approved as an alternative stadium, as well as other stadiums for training.

In the meantime, the members of the inspection team expressed their confidence in the ability of Al Basra to host Gulf 25 in the best possible way, praising the infrastructure that they saw during their inspection of more than one service, hotel and health sites.

It has been scheduled that the tour of the inspection team will continue until Thursday.

بغداد: أكد الدكتور حميد الشيباني، رئيس فريق التفتيش المنبثق عن لجنة دراسة ملفات استضافة /خليجي 25/ في اتحاد كأس الخليج العربي لكرة القدم، المتواجد في مدينة /البصرة/ حاليا، اعتماد ثلاثة ملاعب لاحتضان النسخة المقبلة من منافسات البطولة في حال اقرار إقامتها في هذه المدينة العراقية.

وأوضح الشيباني، في تصريحات، أن ملعب البصرة الدولي الذي يتسع لـ 65 ألف متفرج، وملعب الميناء الذي يتسع لـ 30 ألف متفرج، هما الملعبان الرئيسيان للبطولة، مضيفا أنه وقع اعتماد ملعب ثانوي يتسع لعشرة آلاف متفرج كملعب بديل، فضلا عن اعتماد ملاعب أخرى للتدريب.

في غضون ذلك، عبر أعضاء فريق التفتيش عن ثقتهم التامة بقدرة العراق والبصرة تحديدا على استضافة /خليجي 25/ بأفضل صورة ممكنة، مشيدين بالبنى التحتية التي شاهدوها خلال تفقدهم لأكثر من موقع خدمي وفندقي وصحي.

ومن المقرر أن تستمر جولة فريق التفتيش المنبثق عن لجنة دراسة ملفات استضافة /خليجي 25/ في اتحاد كأس الخليج العربي لكرة القدم في البصرة، حتى بعد غد /الخميس/.
