Doha: Citizens called for pricing on beaches near the centers of population and commercial gravity in the country to be suitable for different segments of society, noting the importance of expanding the establishment of such projects, which will have a positive impact on tourism activity and movement in the country.
About The West Bay North Beach Project
The West Bay North beach has a public beach and 12 private beaches belonging to a number of hotels in a single location on an area of 60,200 square meters and a length of 1.5 km, with the total length of the sand beach reaching 1.2 km divided into three main parts, in addition to places for beach and marine sports and beach bathing areas, and all beaches include direct entrances to many different restaurants and service kiosks, with the possibility of using changing rooms and shower facilities.
Cafes and areas for games and services
North West Bay Beach features 3 service buildings and 9 multi-purpose squares, and offers a variety of cafés distributed on unique and modern beaches with outdoor space with direct view of the beach, as well as an annexes for each restaurant including changing rooms, a men’s and women’s praying areas and toilets for diners and beach goers.
The project is also equipped with children’s play and beach games such as volleyball and beach football, as well as beach bathing areas and changing rooms.
In addition to providing a distinctive design lighting network and quiet night lighting, it is state-of-the-art technology including surveillance cameras and Wi-Fi transmitters to enhance beach safety and service utilization.
Parking and bicycle stands
Multiple parking spaces have been allocated to serve the beach area and the park in addition to the development of the inner streets of the area opposite the beach, where internal parking will be provided to serve the entire area with a capacity of 900 parking in addition to 305 parking spaces along the service road in order to serve beach goers as well as residents of the area.
Parking includes 60 bicycle stands, plus 35 spaces for people with disabilities.
Sports tracks and a distinct walkway
North West Bay Beach offers guests the possibility to walk, run or cycle through foot paths and bicycle tracks along about 2 km, and 100 bicycle stands will be provided along the project, as well as shading trails and planting trees and green areas around them.
In addition, it provides a walkway along the beaches about 1.7 km long and 8 metres wide, including seats for rest and enjoying the general view, and is directly connected to restaurants, shower and changing facilities.

لمحة عن مشروع شاطئ شمال الخليج الغربي
يضم شاطئ شمال الخليج الغربي شاطئا عام و12 شاطئا خاصا تابعا لعدد من الفنادق وذلك في موقع واحد على مساحة 60200 متر مربع وبطول 1.5 كيلومتر، حيث يبلغ الطول الإجمالي للشاطئ الرملي 1.2 كيلومتر مقسم إلى ثلاثة أجزاء رئيسية، بالإضافة للأماكن المخصصة لممارسة الرياضات الشاطئية والبحرية ومناطق الاستحمام الشاطئية، كما تتضمن جميع الشواطئ مداخل مباشرة للعديد من المطاعم المختلفة والأكشاك الخدمية، مع إمكانية استخدام غرف تغيير الملابس ومرافق الاستحمام.
مقاهٍ ومناطق للألعاب والخدمات
يتميز شاطئ شمال الخليج الغربي بوجود 3 مباني خدمات و9 ساحات متعددة الأغراض، كما يوفر خيارات عدة من المقاهي الموزعة على الشواطئ ذات التصميم الفريد والعصري مع مساحة خارجية ذات إطلالة مباشرة على الشاطئ، بالإضافة إلى ملحق لكل مطعم يتضمن غرف تغيير الملابس ومصلى للرجال والنساء ودورات مياه لخدمة رواد المطاعم والشاطئ.
كما تم تزويد المشروع بمناطق لألعاب الأطفال والألعاب الشاطئية مثل كرة الطائرة وكرة القدم الشاطئية، بالإضافة إلى مناطق الاستحمام الشاطئية وغرف تغيير الملابس.
هذا إلى جانب توفير شبكة إنارة بتصميم مميز وإضاءة ليلية هادئة، وهي ذات تقنية متطورة تشمل كاميرات مراقبة وأجهزة بث واي فاي Wi-Fi لتعزيز السلامة على الشاطئ والاستفادة من الخدمة.
مواقف السيارات والدراجات الهوائية
تم تخصيص مساحات متعددة لمواقف السيارات لخدمة المنطقة الشاطئية والحديقة بالإضافة إلى تطوير الشوارع الداخلية بالمنطقة المقابلة للشاطئ، حيث سيتم توفير مواقف داخلية للسيارات لخدمة كامل المنطقة بسعة 900 موقف بالإضافة إلى 305 موقف على طول الطريق الخدمي وذلك لخدمة مرتادي الشاطئ وأيضاً ساكني المنطقة.
تشمل المواقف 60 موقفا للدراجات الهوائية، بالإضافة إلى 35 موقفا مخصصا لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
مسارات للرياضة وممشى متميز
يتيح شاطئ شمال الخليج الغربي لمرتاديه إمكانية ممارسة رياضة المشي أو الجري أو ركوب الدراجات الهوائية من خلال مسارات المشاة والدراجات الهوائية بطول حوالي 2 كيلومتر، كما سيتم توفير 100 موقف للدراجات الهوائية بطول المشروع، فضلاً عن تظليل المسارات وزراعة الأشجار والمسطحات الخضراء حولها.
هذا بالإضافة لتوفير ممشى على طول الشواطئ بطول حوالي1.7 كيلومتر وعرض 8 أمتار، حيث يتضمن أماكن للجلوس والراحة والاستمتاع بالمنظر العام، ويتصل مباشرة بالمطاعم ومرافق الاستحمام وتغيير الملابس.
