Dallas: An unopened copy of Super Mario Bros, purchased in 1986 and then sat forgotten in a drawer, was sold at an auction for $660,000.
The video game was sold last Friday, the Dallas Heritage Auction said, adding that the video game was purchased as a Christmas gift, but ended up in a desk drawer, where it remained unopened and wrapped in plastic until it was found earlier this year.
This copy is considered the finest, where the price of an opened copy produced in 1987 exceeded $114,000 at last summer’s heritage auction

دالاس: تمّ بيعُ نسخة من لعبة «Super Mario Bros»، كان قد تم شراؤُها في عام 1986 ثم نسيانُها في أحد الأدراج، في مزاد بمبلغ 660 ألفَ دولار.
وقال مزاد التراث في دالاس: إنّ لعبة الفيديو بِيعت يوم الجمعة الماضي، مُضيفًا: إنّ لعبة الفيديو كان قد تم شراؤُها كهدية لعيد ميلاد، لكن انتهى بها الأمر في درج مكتب، حيث ظلّت مغلقة ومغلّفة بالبلاستيك حتى تمّ العثورُ عليها في وقتٍ سابقٍ من هذا العام.
وتُعتبر هذه النسخة الأرقى، حيث تجاوز سعر بيع نسخة مفتوحة تمّ إنتاجُها في عام 1987 في مزاد التراث الصيف الماضي 114000 دولار.
