35% increase in speeding tickets and traffic signs violations

Traffic violations in August increased by 28.5%, compared to August 2020, when excess speed violations caught by radars accounted for 70% of all violations and an increase of 31.2% compared to the same period last year, according to figures released by the Planning and Statistics Authority.

Traffic light violations increased by 35.5% in August 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, when traffic overreach violations decreased by 85.7%.

A source pointed out that the Traffic Accidents Department in Al Thumama recorded an increase of 37.3% for traffic accidents cases, followed by the Industrial Department with an increase of 25.6%. On the other hand, the Traffic Department in Dukhan witnessed the highest decline in traffic accident cases in August 2021, by about 26.7.

With regard to new registered vehicles, the bulletin showed that the total number of vehicles registered during August 2021 was 6,984 new vehicles, a monthly increase of 28.4%, and an annual increase of 53.0%.

As for the data related to traffic accident cases without calculating accidents without injuries, their total number reached 561 during August 2021, recording a monthly increase of 10.9%, and an annual increase of 38.9%. Light injuries recorded the vast majority of traffic accident cases during the same month with a percentage of 90%, followed by severe injuries with about 8%, and death cases amounted to 13 deaths, equivalent to only 2% of the total traffic accident cases.

The General Department of Traffic urges motorists to adhere to the speed limit on roads that are undergoing repairs to develop infrastructure, in order to avoid traffic accidents. It also calls for the use of smart applications to choose the least crowded roads, especially since the last period witnessed the opening of many roads that contributed to the flow of traffic. شهدت المخالفات المرورية خلال شهر أغسطس الماضي ارتفاعا بنحو 28.5 %، مقارنة بشهر أغسطس من عام 2020، حيث شكلت مخالفات السرعة الزائدة والتي ضبطتها أجهزة الرادار 70 % من إجمالي المخالفات وبزيادة 31.2 % مقارنة بنفس الفترة من العام الماضي، وفق أرقام صادرة عن جهاز التخطيط والإحصاء.

كما ارتفعت مخالفات قطع الإشارة الضوئية بنحو 35.5 % في أغسطس 2021 مقارنة بنفس الفترة من 2020 حين تراجعت مخالفات التجاوز بنحو 85.7 %.

ولفت مصدر إلى أن قسم الحوادث المرورية بالثمامة سجل نسبة زيادة بنحو 37.3 % لقضايا الحوادث المرورية، يليه قسم الصناعية بزيادة بلغت 25.6 %. في المقابل شهد قسم المرور بدخان أعلى نسبة تراجع في شهر أغسطس 2021 لقضايا الحوادث المرورية بنحو 26.7.

وفيما يتعلق بالمركبات الجديدة المسجلة، فقد أوضحت النشرة أن مجموع المركبات المسجلة خلال شهر أغسطس 2021 بلغ 6984 مركبة جديدة مسجلة بذلك ارتفاعاً شهرياً بنسبة 28.4 %، وارتفاعاً سنوياً قدره 53.0 %. وبالنسبة للبيانات المتعلقة بقضايا الحوادث المرورية دون احتساب الحوادث بلا إصابات، فقد بلغ إجمالي عددها 561 خلال شهر أغسطس 2021، مسجلاً بذلك ارتفاعاً شهرياً بنسبة 10.9 %، وارتفاعاً سنوياً قدره 38.9 %، وقد سجلت الإصابات الخفيفة الغالبية العظمى من قضايا الحوادث المرورية خلال نفس الشهر بنسبة 90 % تليها الإصابات البليغة بنسبة 8 %، أما بالنسبة للوفيات فقد بلغت 13 حالة وفاة تعادل 2 % فقط من إجمالي قضايا الحوادث المرورية.

وتحث الإدارة العامة للمرور، قائدي المركبات على أهمية التقيد بالسرعة المحددة على الطرق التي تشهد إصلاحات لتطوير البنية التحتية، تجنبا للحوادث المرورية.. كما تدعو إلى استخدام التطبيقات الذكية لاختيار الطرق الأقل ازدحاما، خصوصا وأن الفترة الماضية شهدت افتتاح العديد من الطرق التي ساهمت في انسياب حركة المركبات عبر توفير خيارات متعددة للوصول إلى نفس الوجهة.

وأطلق مركز قطر للابتكارات التكنولوجية (كيومك) نسخة جديدة من تطبيق «وين» الذي يركز على الخدمات المبنية على المواقع وخدمات الملاحة، ويتضمن هذا الإصدار العديد من التحديثات المهمة المستوحاة بشكل مباشر من اقتراحات مستخدمي “وين” وتعليقاتهم لتوفير تجربة أكثر قيمة تناسب احتياجاتهم.

ونشرت الإدارة العامة للمرور عبر حسابها بموقع تويتر فيديو للتعريف بتطبيق (وين- Wain) وهو مخصص لدولة قطر، الذي تم إعداده من مركز قطر للابتكارات التكنولوجية، للمساعدة في تحديد مناطق الازدحام المروري وتحديد الطرق البديلة مما يسهم في انسيابية الحركة المرورية على كافة التقاطعات والطرق.

ويوفر تطبيق “وين” الذي يتوفر باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية العديد من المميزات المحدثة لضمان سرعة وسهولة الاستخدام، بحسب الموقع الإلكتروني لمركز قطر للابتكارات التكنولوجية “كيومك”، منها: متابعة الحركة المرورية في قطر بشكل حي ومباشر، وتقديم الإرشادات من خلال الطريق الأسرع والأقصر حسب الحالة المرورية. ويزود المستخدمين بأحدث الطرق الجديدة التي تنفذها أشغال ومسارات الدراجات الهوائية، وتنبيهات تجاوز السرعة القانونية، خدمة مساعدة المركبات المتعطلة. وإمكانية مشاهدة الطرق المغلقة والتحويلات. وإمكانية الوصول لأكثر من 12,000 معلم محلي. خاصية حفظ الأماكن المفضلة ومشاركتها مع الآخرين، معلومات محدثة تلقائياً عن توفر مواقف المركبات.
