Researchers from the University of The Rheinsch Friedrich Velheim in Bonn and the Cesar Research Center have isolated a molecule that could open up new ways to fight the coronavirus, the website said.
The specifications of the new active component are identical to the spiky protein in the coronavirus, which links itself to cells to infect them. In the laboratory, researchers concluded that the new active component is capable of preventing the virus from penetrating cells, and the results were presented in the scientific journal Angiovanter Shimi, as reported by Innovation Origins.
The team of scientists stated that the new active ingredient called “Aptmar” is a short DNA sequence composed mainly of chromosomes, and this DNA strain has the characteristic of being associated with other molecules.
The scientific team did not use coronaviruses, but so-called pseudoviruses equipped with the spiky protein , but they do not cause any diseases. “We now need to see if our results are also effective when using real viruses,” said Professor Michael Phamlok of the Lams Institute, who also works in partnership with the Cesar Research Centre in Bonn.
If these results are confirmed in the medium term, for example, a type of nasal spray can be provided that can protect against corona. But until then, further studies are needed, which will certainly take months, and the world will have no choice but to accelerate vaccination to curb the deadly virus.

وتتطابق مواصفات المكون النشط الجديد بالبروتين الشائك في فيروس كورونا الذي يرتبط بالخلايا من أجل إصابتها.. ففي المختبر توصل الباحثون إلى أن العنصر النشط الجديد قادر على منع الفيروس من اختراق الخلايا، وتم عرض النتائج في المجلة العلمية “آنغيفانتر شيمي”، كما جاء في موقع “إينوفايشن أوريجينس”.
وذكر فريق العلماء أن العنصر النشط الجديد المسمى “أبتمر” هو من سلاسل الحمض النووي الريبي منقوص الأكسجين القصيرة المتكونة بالأساس من كروموسومات، وتمتلك سلالة الحمض النووي هذه خاصية الارتباط بجزيئات أخرى.
ولم يستخدم الفريق العلمي فيروسات كورونا ولكن ما يسمى بالفيروسات الزائفة مجهزة بالبروتين المشوك، إلا أنها لا تسبب أي أمراض. وقال البروفيسور مايكل فامولوك من معهد “لايمس”، والذي يعمل بشراكة أيضا مع مركز الأبحاث “سيزار” في بون، في هذا الصدد: “علينا الآن أن نرى ما إذا كانت نتائجنا فعالة أيضا عند استعمال فيروسات حقيقية”.
