MOPH explains the reason behind the overcrowding in front of QNCC

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) affirmed in a statement Tuesday that the COVID-19 vaccine is only given to people who have received invitations to get the vaccine and who have met the criteria set forth in the framework of the COVID-19 National Vaccination Program.
The Ministry said that it has followed up the severe overcrowding which took place at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) yesterday, after a large number of people arrived at the same time to get the vaccination without a prior appointment. The large and temporary crowding led to a lack of observance of social distancing standards, which is unacceptable.
The Ministry underlined that it is currently working closely with the concerned authorities to ensure the effective and safe organization of the vaccination program, and to emphasize the observance of social distancing standards at all times.
The Ministry reiterated that the vaccination appointments at QNCC are organized through prior invitations only, and entry into the vaccination center is permitted only after the completion of the appointment verification processes, stressing that entry to the center will not be permitted without a prior appointment.
The Ministry called on those willing to take the vaccine to register via the COVID-19 Vaccine Platform of the Ministry of Public Health.
It noted that the process of taking vaccination appointments remains unchanged, as PHCC teams communicate directly with people who meet the criteria for getting the vaccine via SMS or phone calls to book the appointments.
Priority in vaccination appointments will be given to people who meet the criteria to receive the vaccine and those who have already registered their desire to receive the vaccine through the online registration system, in accordance with the National Vaccination Program.

الدوحة: شددت وزارة الصحة العامة على أن اللقاح المضاد لفيروس كورونا “كوفيد-19” لا يعطى إلا للأشخاص الذين تلقوا دعوات للحصول على التطعيم والذين استوفوا المعايير المحددة في اطار البرنامج الوطني للتطعيم ضد كورونا.
وأشارت الوزارة في بيان صحفي إلى أنها تابعت ما حدث الأمس من اكتظاظ شديد بمركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات بعد أن وصل عدد كبير من الأشخاص في نفس الوقت للحصول على التطعيم دون موعد مسبق، حيث أدى الاقبال الكبير والمؤقت إلى عدم مراعاة معايير التباعد الاجتماعي وهو أمر غير مقبول.
وأكدت وزارة الصحة على أنها تعمل حاليا عن كثب مع الجهات المعنية لضمان تنظيم برنامج الحصول على التطعيم بفعالية وسلامة والتشديد على اتباع معايير التباعد الاجتماعي في كافة الاوقات.
وجددت الوزارة التذكير بأن مواعيد التطعيم بمركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات تنظم عبر دعوات مسبقة فقط، ويسمح بدخول مركز التطعيم فقط بعد إتمام عمليات التحقق من الموعد، ولن يسمح بالدخول إلى المركز دون موعد مسبق.
ودعت الى التسجيل والافصاح عن الرغبة بأخذ اللقاح عبر منصة وزارة الصحة العامة، حيث سيتم تسجيل رغبة الأشخاص وحفظها للتواصل معهم عند موافاتهم للشروط.
وتؤكد الوزارة ان عملية حجز مواعيد التطعيم لا تزال كما هي دون تغيير، حيث تقوم فرق مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية بالتواصل مباشرة مع الأشخاص المستوفين لمعايير الحصول على اللقاح عبر الرسائل النصية القصيرة أو المكالمات الهاتفية لحجز مواعيد لهم.
وسيتم إعطاء الأولوية في مواعيد التطعيم للأشخاص الذين يستوفون المعايير لتلقي اللقاح والذين سجلوا بالفعل رغبتهم في الحصول على اللقاح من خلال نظام التسجيل عبر الإنترنت على الموقع الإلكتروني لوزارة الصحة العامة، حسب البرنامج الوطني للتطعيم.
