Doha: For those planning to spend a delightful day on the beach with loved ones, the e-government’s Twitter account has shared a list of the most beautiful beaches that offer plenty of opportunities for a fun-filled day out.

Here are some of the most popular public and free beaches available in the state of Qatar:

1. Fuwairit Beach: This sandy bay with rocky formations is situated approximately 70 km away from Doha.
2. Umm Bab Beach: A palm-fringed beach that boasts numerous free services, located 85 km away from Doha.
3. Khor Al Adaid Beach: A sandy beach located 108 km away from Doha, that offers a plethora of marine and desert activities.
4. Al Thakhira Beach: This beach features large reserves of ghaf trees, located 50 km away from the city center.
5. Al Wakra Beach: A beach with a host of facilities for children, bathing, and barbecuing, located 24 km away from Doha.
6. Al Maroona Beach: A beach that is renowned for its soft, golden sand, located approximately 77 km away from Doha.
7. Zekreet Beach: A beach consisting of rocky slopes and low sand dunes, located 85 km west of Doha.
8. Dukhan Beach: A beach that merges sand and rocks and is surrounded by historical sites, located 90 km away from Doha.

2. شاطئ أم باب: شاطئ مسور بالنخيل وتتوفر به خدمات عديدة وبشكل مجاني ويبعد 85 كم عن الدوحة 
3. خور العديد: شاطئ رملي يبعد 108 كم عن الدوحة وتتواجد به أنشطة بحرية وصحراوية 
4. شاطئ الذخيرة: هو شاطئ يحتوي على محميات كبيرة من شجر القرم ويبعد 50 كم عن مركز المدينة
5. شاطئ الوكرة: شاطئ تكثر مرافقه المخصصة للأطفال والاستحمام والشواء ويبعد 24 كم عن الدوحة 
6. شاطئ المرونة: يتميز بالرمال الذهبية الناعمة ويبعد عن الدوحة نحو 77 كم 
7. شاطئ زكريت: يتكون من منحدرات صخيرة وكثبان رملية منخفضة ويبعد 85 كم غرباً
8. شاطئ دخان: يمزج  الشاطئ الرمال مع الصخور ويحيط به مواقع تاريخية ويبعد 90 كم عن الدوحة
