Qatar’s Ambassador Receives Bronze Medal of Qatar-France Year of Culture

Paris: HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani received a copy of a bronze medal issued by La Monnaie de Paris from HE President and CEO of La Monnaie de Paris Marc Schwartz, on the occasion of the Qatar-France Year of Culture 2020.
The process of minting this medal, two copies of which will be deposited in the French National Library and in La Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint), is in the context of the activities of the Qatar-France Year of Culture 2020 which bridged communication and dialogue between the French and Qatari peoples despite the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as contributed to enhancing cultural exchange between the State of Qatar and the French Republic by organizing joint cultural events.
La Monnaie de Paris is the oldest French national monetary institution, as it is still operating today.

وتندرج عملية سك هذه الميدالية، التي سيتم إيداع نسختين منها في المكتبة الوطنية الفرنسية وفي متحف سك العملات التابع لمؤسسة /عملة باريس/، في سياق فعاليات العام الثقافي /قطر- فرنسا 2020/، الذي سمح بمد جسور التواصل والحوار بين الشعبين الفرنسي والقطري رغم جائحة كورونا /كوفيد- 19/، كما ساهم في تعزيز التبادل الثقافي بين دولة قطر والجمهورية الفرنسية عبر تنظيم الفعاليات الثقافية المشتركة.
وتعد /عملة باريس/، المؤسسة النقدية الوطنية الفرنسية الأقدم حيث مازالت تمارس نشاطها حتى اليوم.
