New Delhi: Qatar’s Nasser al-Attiyah won the bronze medal for the Skeet category in the Shooting World Cup in New Delhi which will run until The 29th of this month.
Al-Attiyah won the bronze after a strong round of six of the competition’s top 20 contestants, the final round witnessed the participation of Qatari shooter Rashid Saleh al-athba, who finished fifth in the standings.
Nasser al-Attiyah expressed his happiness to win the bronze medal of the Skeet category competition in the Shooting World Cup, and stated, in a press statement, that during the tournament he was seeking to win the gold medal, but the strength of the competition with the presence of the stars of the world in the game made it difficult to do the task, adding “We continue to raise the Qatari flag in such gatherings and important sporting events and our chances are endless.”
He pointed out that the Qatari shooters are still continuing in the rest of the championship competitions, and they aspire to achieve more good results, pointing out that the presence of the new coach had a role in the arrival of the Qatari shooters to these rankings.

وتمكن العطية من الفوز بالبرونزية بعد جولة قوية ضمت أفضل ستة مشاركين في المسابقة من بين أكثر من عشرين متنافسا، حيث شهدت جولة النهائي مشاركة الرامي القطري راشد صالح العذبة الذي حل خامسا في الترتيب.
وأعرب ناصر العطية، بهذه المناسبة، عن سعادته بالفوز بالميدالية البرونزية لمسابقة الخرطوش سكيت ضمن منافسات بطولة كأس العالم للرماية، وأفاد، في تصريح صحفي، بأنه كان يسعى خلال البطولة إلى حصد الميدالية الذهبية، لكن قوة المنافسة مع وجود نجوم العالم في اللعبة صعبت المهمة، مضيفا “نحن مستمرون من أجل رفع الراية القطرية في مثل هذه التجمعات والأحداث الرياضية المهمة وفرصنا لا تنتهي”.
وأوضح أن رماة “الأدعم” لايزالون مستمرين في باقي مسابقات البطولة، ويطمحون لتحقيق المزيد من النتائج الجيدة، مشيرا إلى أن تواجد المدرب الجديد كان له دور في وصول رماة “الأدعم” إلى هذه المراكز.
