Ministry Concludes “Qualifying Graduates for Labor Market” Workshop

Doha: The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, represented by the Institute of Public Administration, concluded the “Qualifying graduates for the labor market” workshop, in cooperation with Qatar University.
The workshop, which was held from February 21 to March 18, and was divided into four groups, targeted Qatari graduates from Qatar University who did not join any job during the first six months after graduation.
The workshop program aimed to provide Qatar University graduates with the skills that enable them to identify their capabilities and potentials that are commensurate with the Qatari labor market to obtain suitable job opportunities and help graduates better perform their future job tasks.
The workshop’s training program included nine main items, the first of which dealt with the structure of the general government apparatus in the state and its divisions into ministries, bodies, and institutions, and introducing the importance of the public service.
The second item dealt with the opportunities and advantages of working in the public and private sectors, to help graduates choose a job and a suitable place to work according to their desires, abilities, and job preferences.
The third item dealt with a brief definition of the Civil Human Resources Law and the Qatari Labor Law, to identify the rights and duties of employees in light of these laws.
The fourth and fifth items dealt with how to prepare a CV and the skills of conducting employment interviews to prepare the graduate to conduct successful employment interviews. The sixth item reviewed how to deal with the “cadres” platform and the mechanism for applying for vacant jobs, while the seventh talked about how to prepare letters and government notes.
The eighth and ninth items touched on communication skills, teamwork, and dealing with heads, colleagues, and the public, as well as ways to enhance creativity and career excellence among graduates.

الدوحة: اختتمت وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، متمثلة في معهد الإدارة العامة، ورشة /تأهيل الخريجين للاستعداد لسوق العمل/ بالتعاون مع جامعة قطر.
واستهدفت الورشة التي عقدت في الفترة من 21 فبراير إلى 18 مارس الجاري، وانقسمت إلى أربع مجموعات، القطريين من خريجي جامعة قطر الذين لم يلتحقوا بأي وظيفة خلال الأشهر الستة الأولى بعد التخرج.
ويرمي برنامج الورشة إلى تزويد خريجي جامعة قطر بالمهارات التي تمكنهم من تحديد قدراتهم الشخصية وإمكاناتهم التي تتناسب مع سوق العمل القطري للحصول على فرص عمل مناسبة، ومساعدة الخريجين على أداء مهامهم الوظيفية المستقبلية بشكل أفضل.
وتضمن البرنامج التدريبي للورشة تسعة محاور رئيسية، تناول أولها هيكل الجهاز الحكومي العام في الدولة وتقسيماته إلى وزارات وهيئات ومؤسسات، والتعريف بأهمية الوظيفة العامة.
وتناول المحور الثاني فرص ومزايا العمل بالقطاعين العام والخاص، بغرض مساعدة الخريجين على اختيار الوظيفة والمكان المناسب للعمل وفق رغباتهم وقدراتهم وميولهم الوظيفية.
وتطرق المحور الثالث إلى تعريف مختصر بقانون الموارد البشرية المدنية وقانون العمل القطري بهدف التعرف على حقوق وواجبات الموظفين في ظل قانون الموارد البشرية وقانون العمل القطري.
أما المحوران الرابع والخامس فتناولا كيفية إعداد السيرة الذاتية ومهارات إجراء مقابلات التوظيف لتهيئة الخريج لإجراء مقابلات توظيف ناجحة بينما استعرض المحور السادس كيفية التعامل مع منصة /كوادر/، وآلية التقديم للوظائف الشاغرة، وتحدث السابع عن كيفية إعداد الرسائل والمذكرات الحكومية.
وتطرق المحوران الثامن والتاسع إلى مهارات التواصل والعمل الجماعي والتعامل مع الرؤساء والزملاء والمراجعين، وكذلك طرق تعزيز الإبداع والتميز الوظيفي لدى الخريجين.
