4 new local pharmaceutical factories launched

Qatar Pharmaceutical Industries is a national strategic project to enhance pharmaceutical security in the country.

Qatar Pharmaceutical Industries is preparing to open its first specialized factory in the pharmaceutical industry this summer, among four new factories established by the company in the new industrial zone (SME Zone). Businessman Mr. Mansour Sultan Al Mansour, founder and president of Qatar Pharmaceutical Industries Company in a special interview with “Al-Sharq”, stressed the importance of launching the company at this time, where everyone faces the challenges of the spread of the coronavirus, which reflects the keenness of the private sector to contribute to the development of the pharmaceutical industry and support the medical sector in the country, pointing out that the company is a strategic project expected to contribute to a qualitative shift in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Qatar and the Arab world.

He said the project will be built on an area of 30,000 square meters and consists of four separate factories, each with different production lines, and the first production unit will be completed this year with a production capacity of 80 million packages in the first year, which will then reach about 850 million packages per year, which will achieve self-sufficiency for a large number of medicines, as well as export to about 17 Arab and international markets.

Referring to the agreements signed as part of the strategy of expansion and development, agreements have been concluded with the leading international companies specialized in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing and with international research companies to transfer technology and manufacturing methods to Qatar to ensure the highest quality of the company’s products.

Al Mansour said that Qatar Pharmaceutical Industries is an integrated pharmaceutical company with its goal being to contribute to enhancing the country’s pharmaceutical security under all natural conditions and in crises, pointing to the great development witnessed by Qatari industries in various fields thanks to the good guidance and unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Prince of the country.

الدوحة – الشرق:

تستعد الشركة القطرية للصناعات الدوائية لافتتاح اول مصانعها المتخصصة في صناعة الدواء خلال الصيف الحالي، وذلك ضمن أربعة مصانع جديدة قامت الشركة بإنشائها في المنطقة الصناعية الجديدة (منطقة الصناعات الصغيرة والمتوسطة). واكد رجل الاعمال السيد منصور سلطان المنصور مؤسس ورئيس الشركة القطرية للصناعات الدوائية في حوار خاص مع “الشرق”، على اهمية إطلاق الشركة في هذا الوقت، حيث يواجه الجميع تحديات انتشار فيروس كورونا، الامر الذي يعكس حرص القطاع الخاص على المساهمة في تطوير الصناعات الدوائية ودعم القطاع الطبي في الدولة، لافتا الى ان الشركة تعد مشروعا استراتيجيا من المتوقع ان يسهم في إحداث نقلة نوعية في مجال التصنيع الدوائي في قطر والعالم العربي.

واوضح ان المشروع يقام على مساحة 30 الف متر مربع ويتكون من أربعة مصانع منفصلة يحتوي كل منها على خطوط إنتاج مختلفة وسيتم الانتهاء من الوحدة الإنتاجية الأولى خلال العام الجاري بطاقة إنتاجية 80 مليون عبوة في العام الأول تصل بعد ذلك الى نحو 850 مليون عبوة سنويا، مما يحقق الاكتفاء الذاتي لعدد كبير من الادوية، فضلا عن التصدير الى نحو 17 سوقا عربيا ودوليا.

مشيرا للاتفاقات التي تم توقيعها في اطار استراتيجية التوسع والتطوير، حيث تم ابرام اتفاقيات مع كبرى الشركات العالمية المتخصصة في مجال التصنيع الدوائي ومع شركات بحثية عالمية لنقل التقنية وطرق التصنيع الى قطر لضمان أعلى جودة لمنتجات الشركة. وقال المنصور ان الشركة القطرية للصناعات الدوائية هي شركة دوائية متكاملة هدفها المساهمة في تعزيز الأمن الدوائي بالبلاد تحت كل الظروف الطبيعية وفي الأزمات، لافتا للتطور الكبير الذي شهدته الصناعات القطرية في مختلف المجالات بفضل التوجيهات السديدة والدعم اللامحدود لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى.
