Amman: Qatari Baja driver Khalifa bin Saleh Al Attiyah expressed his aspiration to win the title of the International Baja Jordan, which constitutes the fourth round of the World Cup of desert rally championships for short distances (ALBA) for the 2021 sports season, which witnesses the participation of a distinguished group of competitors representing 15 countries in addition to Jordan.
Al Attiyah said, in a press statement after his arrival in Jordan, that the atmosphere in the Aqaba region is very beautiful and wonderful, and that he is well prepared to compete in the tour with the French navigator Xavi Banasiri, who has great experiences in the world championship, especially Baja Jordan, which is distinguished by its gravel tracks.
The Qatari driver expressed his overwhelming happiness to be and participate in Baja Jordan for the first time, which is one of the most prominent rounds of the world championship, stressing his quest to win the points of this round, and then compete for one of the first places in the world championship in which he participates for the first time.
He explained that he was well prepared to compete in Baja Jordan, especially after he adapted greatly to his car /Can-M-Maverick X3 /, which he participated in during the Dakar International Rally this season that was held in Saudi Arabia last January.
The Baha Jordan competitions will start Friday, through the first special stage in Wadi Rum, which has a distance of 210.72 km, then the second special stage (Disi) for a distance of 112.90 km in the afternoon. As for Saturday, the participants will go through a special difficult phase Al-Salhiya, which has a distance of 236.06 km, and is held north of Aqaba. After which they return to the city of Aqaba for the ceremony of coronation of the winners and the conclusion of the rally.

عمان: أبدى السائق القطري خليفة بن صالح العطية تطلعه للفوز بلقب باها الأردن الدولي، الذي يشكل الجولة الرابعة من بطولة كأس العالم للراليات الصحراوية للمسافات القصيرة (الباها) للموسم الرياضي 2021، والتي تشهد مشاركة مجموعة مميزة من متسابقين يمثلون 15 بلدا بالإضافة إلى الأردن.
وقال العطية، في تصريح صحفي عقب وصوله إلى الأردن، إن الأجواء في منطقة العقبة جميلة ورائعة للغاية، وإنه استعد جيدا لخوض منافسات الجولة بصحبة ملاحه الفرنسي اكسافي بناسيري الذي يمتلك خبرات كبيرة في البطولة العالمية، وخاصة باها الأردن الذي يتميز بمساراته الحصوية.
وأعرب السائق القطري عن سعادته الغامرة بالتواجد والمشاركة في باها الأردن للمرة الأولى، الذي يعد واحدا من أبرز جولات بطولة العالم، مشددا على سعيه لحصد نقاط هذه الجولة، ومن ثم المنافسة على أحد المراكز الأولى في البطولة العالمية التي يشارك فيها للمرة الأولى.
وأوضح أنه استعد بصورة جيدة لخوض منافسات باها الأردن، خاصة بعد تأقلمه بصورة كبيرة على سيارته /كان إم – مافريك أكس 3 /، والتي اشترك بها خلال منافسات رالي داكار الدولي هذا الموسم الذي أقيم بالسعودية يناير الماضي.
وستبدأ منافسات باها الأردن يوم غد /الجمعة/، عبر المرحلة الخاصة الأولى /وادي رم/ التي تبلغ مسافتها 210.72 كيلومتر، ثم المرحلة الخاصة الثانية /الديسي/ لمسافة 112.90 كيلومتر بعد الظهر.. أما يوم /السبت/ فسيخوض المشاركون مرحلة خاصة صعبة /الصالحية/ والتي تبلغ مسافتها 236.06 كيلومتر، وتقام شمالي مدينة العقبة، ليعودوا بعدها إلى مدينة العقبة من أجل حفل تتويج الفائزين واختتام الرالي.
ومن المقرر أن يبدأ اليوم /الخميس/ إجراءات الفحص الفني والتوثيق الإداري، وسيخضع جميع المشاركين لإجراءات فحص (كوفيد- 19) صارمة قبل السماح لهم بالدخول لموقف الصيانة ومقرات الباها.
بعدها سيجري عدد من أبرز الأسماء المشاركة في الجولة مؤتمرا صحفيا عند منصة الانطلاق في مدينة العقبة.
