QC hands over 1st house of “Renovation Challenge”

Doha: With the support of the people of Qatar, Qatar Charity has handed over the first house as part of this year’s Renovation Challenge initiative, which is concerned with restoring the homes of low-income families and improving their housing conditions, after their maintenance and furnishing have been completed, in a contribution to the social stability through which the individual can play his or her hoped-for role in society and live a healthy life.

The “Renovation Challenge” is concerned with providing permanent services to the community and providing appropriate furniture for old houses which has been damaged and cracked, which has led to it losing a large part of the essentials that are available in safe and healthy homes, by renovating the homes of low-income families in cooperation with many companies and commercial sectors in the country, in addition to youth initiatives and volunteers.

الدوحة: بدعم من أهل قطر سلّمت قطر الخيرية المنزل الأوّل ضمن مبادرة «تحدي ترميم» لهذا العام، التي تعنى بترميم بيوت الأسر ذات الدخل المحدود وتحسين ظروف سكنها، بعد أن تمّ إكمال صيانتها وتأثيثها، وذلك مساهمةً منها في تحقيق الاستقرار المجتمعي الذي يستطيع الفرد من خلاله أن يؤدّي دوره المأمول في المجتمع، ويعيش حياة صحية وسليمة.

ويُعنى «تحدي ترميم» بتقديم خدمات دائمة للمُجتمع وتوفير الأثاث المُناسب للمنازل القديمة التي تعرّضت للتلف والتصدّعات، ما أدّى إلى فقدانها جزءًا كبيرًا من الأساسيات التي تتوفّر في المنازل الآمنة والصحيّة، وذلك بتجديد بيوت الأسر ذات الدخل المحدود بالتعاون مع العديد من الشركات والقطاعات التجاريّة في الدولة، إضافةً إلى المُبادرات الشبابية والمتطوّعين.
