QU: June 8 is Deadline for Fall 2021 Applications

Doha: The Admissions Department at Qatar University (QU) announced the continuation of receiving online admission applications for new and transferred students from other universities and second bachelor’s degree students in the bachelor’s stage for the fall 2021 semester, until June 8, 2021 via its official website www.qu.edu.qa/apply. Admission decisions will be announced on July 27, 2021.

Director of the Admissions Department at Qatar University Lolwa Al Rabeei said that the colleges’ seats available for admission according to the given percentages and criteria for the fall 2021 semester are; 70 percent for the Faculties of Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Management and Economics, Law, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Education, and Health Sciences. The required percentage for medicine and dentistry colleges is 90 percent, and the required percentage for the college of pharmacy is 80 percent.

Al Rubaie stressed that admission into Qatar University depends on the principle of competition between applicants. The applicants must achieve minimum requirements. Students are accepted according to the capacity of each college separately. The educational path at the secondary level will also be taken into consideration when applying to university. Al Rubaie added that applying is done by filling out the electronic application on the official university website.

A copy of the applicant’s photo and valid Qatari ID card (and a copy of the passport for non-Qataris) must be uploaded through the electronic application for admission before the specified deadline.

الدوحة: أعلنت جامعة قطر أن، اليوم /الثلاثاء/، هو اليوم الأخير لاستقبال طلبات القبول الإلكترونية للطلبة الجدد والمحولين من جامعات أخرى وطلبة درجة البكالوريوس الثانية للفصل الدراسي خريف 2021.

ودعت الجامعة، في بيان، جميع الطلبة الذين تنطبق عليهم الشروط إلى الإسراع بتقديم طلب الالتحاق من خلال تعبئة الطلب الإلكتروني على موقع الجامعة الرسمي، www.qu.edu.qa/apply، مع تحميل المستندات المطلوبة.

وكانت الجامعة قد فتحت باب القبول للطلبة الجدد والمحولين من جامعات أخرى وطلبة درجة البكالوريوس الثانية لخريف 2021 في 13 أبريل الماضي.

وقالت السيدة لولوه الربيعي، مديرة إدارة القبول في جامعة قطر، إن الكليات المتاحة للقبول وفق النسب والمعايير لفصل خريف 2021 هي 70% لكليات الآداب والعلوم، والهندسة، والإدارة والاقتصاد، والقانون، والشريعة والدراسات الإسلامية، والتربية، والعلوم الصحية، في حين أن النسبة المطلوبة لكليتي الطب وطب الأسنان 90%، وللصيدلة 80%.

وأكدت الربيعي “أن القبول في جامعة قطر يعتمد على مبدأ المنافسة بين المتقدمين، وأن تحقيق الحد الأدنى من متطلبات الدراسة في الشهادة الثانوية لا يعني قبول الطالب على الرغبة الأولى، وإنما يتم قبول الطلاب وفق القدرة الاستيعابية لكل كلية على حدة، مع الأخذ بعين الاعتبار المسار التعليمي في المرحلة الثانوية عند التقدم للجامعة”.

وأوضحت أنه يمكن للطلاب متابعة حالة طلب القبول من خلال زيارة صفحة طلب القبول الإلكترونية وذلك باستخدام اسم المستخدم (ID) وكلمة المرور (PIN) الخاصة بالطالب، مشيرة إلى أن الجامعة ستلعن قرارات القبول في 27 يوليو المقبل.
