Ministry Organizes Workshop on International Exams

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Department of Private Schools Affairs, in cooperation with Al-Arqam Academy for Girls organized a workshop on international exams, through the technology of video conferencing.

This comes within the framework of the recent preparations for the Private Education Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the participation of private schools in the PISA test 2021.

At the beginning of the workshop, the consultant at the Department of Private Schools Affairs and a member of the International Examinations Committee Ilham Al-Qayed, praised the efforts of private schools in the educational field, and the honorable results they achieved in the field of education in general, and in the field of international examinations in particular.

She stressed the importance of international tests that reflect the effectiveness of the curricula applied in basic skills, methods of teaching and application, and that their results constitute a benchmark for evaluating the educational systems of the participating countries, stressing the use of all capabilities and tools to create awareness about the importance of these tests.

The workshop also dealt with educational efforts with all parties to the educational process, and how to communicate with parents (being essential partners in the educational process), informing them about the nature of international tests and their importance, and their role in cooperation with the Academy, to motivate children to participate seriously in these tests.

الدوحة: نظمت وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي ممثلة بإدارة شؤون المدارس الخاصة وبالتعاون مع أكاديمية الأرقم الخاصة للبنات ورشة توعوية حول الاختبارات الدولية، وذلك عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي عن بعد.

ويأتي ذلك في إطار الاستعدادات الأخيرة لقطاع شؤون التعليم الخاص بوزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي لمشاركة المدارس الخاصة في اختبار /بيزا/ التجريبي واختبار /بيرلز/ 2021.

وفي مستهل الورشة، أشادت السيدة إلهام القايد الاستشارية بإدارة شؤون المدارس الخاصة وعضو لجنة الاختبارات الدولية، بجهود المدارس الخاصة في الميدان التربوي والتعليمي، وما حققته من نتائج مشرفة في ميدان التعليم عامة، وفي ميدان الاختبارات الدولية خاصة، كما أكدت على أهمية الاختبارات الدولية التي تعكس فاعلية المناهج المطبقة في المهارات الأساسية وطرائق تدريسها وتطبيقها، وأن نتائجها تشكل مقياسا لتقييم الأنظمة التعليمية للدول المشاركة، مشددة على تجنيد كافة الإمكانات والأدوات لخلق الوعي بأهمية هذه الاختبارات والمشاركة فيها.

ثم دعت القايد أكاديمية الأرقم الخاصة للبنات في مستهل الورشة لعرض تجربتها في الاختبارات الدولية، والتي تم اختيارها بناء على نجاحها وتفوق طالباتها وأدائهن وتحصيلهن العلمي، حيث تناولت الورشة التي قدمتها الأستاذة إزادة داد خان مديرة المرحلة الثانوية بالأكاديمية خطة الأكاديمية للمشاركة في الاختبارات الدولية على المستوى الأكاديمي واللوجستي، بما يوفر البيئة المناسبة للطلاب المشاركين، لرفع مستواهم وتحقيق نتائج متميزة فيها.

كما تناولت الورشة الجهود التوعوية مع كافة أطراف العملية التعليمية، وكيفية التواصل مع أولياء الأمور (كونهم شركاء أساسيين في العملية التربوية والتعليمية)، وإطلاعهم على ماهية الاختبارات الدولية وأهميتها، ودورهم في التعاون مع الأكاديمية، لتحفيز أبنائهم على المشاركة فيها بجدية.
