Washington: Google plans to postpone the launch of its artificial intelligence system, Gemini, to 2024.
The system, which is multi-model and versatile, is intended for use in a wide range of applications, thanks to its ability to integrate different types of data, such as images and text, it can perform more complex tasks.
According to The Information, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has decided to delay the release of Gemini due to its weak ability to process queries in languages other than English. The company had granted early access to the system to some businesses during the trial phase, which began several months ago.
Google unveiled the Gemini system during its annual developer conference held in May last year, with its expected release scheduled for December of the current year. However, the company opted to postpone the launch to the beginning of 2024.

وبحسب تقرير نشر في موقع The information التقني، فإن ساندر بيتشاي الرئيس التنفيذي لجوجل، قرر تأخير إصدار Gemini بسبب ضعف قدرته على معالجة الاستفسارات بلغات غير اللغة الإنجليزية، بعد أن منحت الشركة بعض الشركات وصولا مبكرا إلى النظام في المرحلة التجريبية، التي بدأت قبل عدة أشهر.
وكانت /جوجل/ قد كشفت عن نظام Gemini خلال مؤتمر المطورين السنوي الذي عقدته في مايو الماضي، ويفترض إطلاقه خلال شهر ديسمبر الجاري، إلا أن الشركة فضلت تأجيل الإطلاق إلى مطلع العام المقبل.
