Students of Over 35 Schools Compete in EAA’s “Goals4Good” Tournament

Doha: The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation has organized “Goals4Good” tournament, the Kick off of its Ramadan campaign, whith the participation of students from over 35 schools.
Director of Private Sector Partnerships at Education Above All Foundation Parintaj Sulaiman said that the tournament reflects EAA’s commitment to the sustainable developments goals, particularly Goal 3 “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”; Goal 4 “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” and Goal 17 “Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.” She underlined the importance of the tournament in spreading awareness of the importance of education as a basic right for millions of marginalized and poor children around the world, and in establishing the principle of human leadership school students in Qatar, in addition to raising donations to support the selected EAA’s projects, that aim to educate the most vulnerable children in the world.
Parintaj Sulaiman said that all funds raised during the tournament will be used for EAA’s educational projects around the world, with a particular focus on supporting children in Myanmar, Zanzibar, Somalia, Sudan, Mali, Cambodia, Qatar, ROTA’ “Young Volunteers for Training and Development” project and Al-Fakhoora program for access to higher education in Gaza, Syria, Turkey and Lebanon.
She explained that schools student will compete in the football matches in three age categories, namely 10-12 years, 13-15 years and 16-18 years, for both boys and girls. The winning team will receive a trophy and certificates of appreciation, as well as medals and prizes for Best Player, Best Goal and Best Goalkeeper.
The winners of the art competition, titled “The Classroom of Tomorrow”, have been announced, she said adding that the artworks were offered for sale for QR 100 per piece, to be donated to Education Above All Foundation’s projects.
EAA’s “Goals4Good” aims to encourage students to practice their favorite sports and raise donations and aid for countries most in need, in addition to promoting the values of tolerance, respect, and solidarity among young people.

الدوحة: نظمت مؤسسة التعليم فوق الجميع بطولة “أهداف من أجل الخير” التي تمثل انطلاقة لحملتها الرمضانية بمشاركة أكثر من 35 مدرسة بمختلف مناطق الدولة.
وأكدت السيدة تاج سليمان، مديرة الشراكات بالمؤسسة، أن هذه البطولة تعكس التزام “التعليم فوق الجميع” بأهداف التنمية المستدامة، ومنها، الهدف الرابع “ضمان التعليم الجيد المنصف والشامل، وتعزيز فرص التعلم مدى الحياة للجميع، والهدف الثالث “ضمان تمتع الجميع بأنماط عيش صحية وبالرفاهية في جميع الأعمار”، والهدف السابع عشر “تعزيز وسائل التنفيذ وتنشيط الشراكة العالمية من أجل التنمية المستدامة”، مشيرة إلى أهمية هذه البطولة في نشر الوعي بأهمية التعليم كحق أساسي لملايين الأطفال المهمشين والفقراء على مستوى العالم، وإرساء مبدأ القيادة البشرية بين طلاب المدارس في قطر، بالإضافة إلى جمع التبرعات لدعم مشاريع المؤسسة المختارة، التي تهدف إلى تعليم أكثر الأطفال ضعفا في العالم.
وأضافت أنه سيتم استخدام جميع أموال الرعاية لهذه البطولة لمشاريع المؤسسة التعليمية في جميع أنحاء العالم، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على دعم الأطفال في ميانمار، وزنجبار، والصومال، والسودان، ومالي وكمبوديا، وقطر، ومشروع برنامج روتا “المتطوعين الشباب من أجل التدريب والتنمية” ومشروع برنامج الفاخورة للوصول إلى التعليم العالي في غزة، وسوريا وتركيا ولبنان، كما ستساعد هذه المشاريع الأطفال المهمشين والفقراء في الحصول على الفرص والأمل في مستقبل أفضل، والذي يهدف إلى توفير وزيادة الوصول إلى المرافق والموارد التعليمية، وتحسين جودة التعليم.
وأوضحت السيدة تاج سليمان أن البطولة التي تنوعت بين كرة القدم والرسم للبنين والبنات من 10 إلى 18 عاما، شارك بها أكثر من ألف طالب وطالبة، حيث حصلت الفرق الفائزة على كأس وشهادات تقدير، بالإضافة إلى ميداليات، وجوائز لأفضل لاعب، وأفضل هدف، وأفضل حارس مرمى.
ولفتت إلى أنه تم الإعلان أيضا عن الفائزين في المسابقة الفنية التي أقيمت تحت شعار “الفصل الدراسي للغد”، والتي تمحورت حول كيف سيكون شكل الفصل الدراسي في المستقبل، حيث تم عرض الأعمال الفنية للبيع بمبلغ 100 ريال للعمل الواحد، يتم التبرع بها لمشاريع مؤسسة التعليم فوق الجميع.
يذكر أن “أهداف من أجل الخير” هدفت إلى تشجيع الطلاب على ممارسة الرياضة المحببة لديهم، وجمع تبرعات ومساعدات للبلدان الأكثر احتياجا، إضافة إلى تعزيز قيم التسامح والاحترام، والتضامن بين الشباب.
