Doha: Al Wakrah and Qatar SC shared points in a goalless draw in Week 17 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League at the Al Arabi Stadium on Tuesday.
Qatar SC now have a tally of 28 points and Al Wakrah 15 points after 17 rounds of action.
In the fifth minute of the entertaining clash, Al Wakrah’s Abdennour Belhocini received a loopy cross from the wing. Belhocini, while trying to deflect the ball into the net from close range, miscalculated his jump and ended up nudging the ball above the crossbar with his knee.
Al Wakrah’s Omar Ali also got into the act in the eighth minute when he produced a snap-header that nearly kissed the Qatar SC crossbar with keeper Jassim Al Hail well-beaten.
Belhocini, who had missed an easy chance early on, once again misfired from close range with another header that sailed above the Qatar SC goal a few minutes later.
Close to the half-hour mark, Qatar SC’s Youcef Belaili managed to sneak into the Al Wakrah box, but his hurriedly-taken shot zipped past the goalpost to the left of keeper Saoud Al Khater. Soon, Anthony Okpotu even scored for Qatar SC, but the goal was ruled offside.
In probably the most spectacular shot of the game up until then, Abdulghani Muneer produced a low fast shot from at least 10 yards away from the Qatar SC box in the 47th minute. His shot was deflected with a dive to his right by the Qatar SC keeper.
In the 61st minute, Al Wakrah’s young player Yasen Abdullah was shown the red card for a reckless tackle on Hamed Ismail.
Al Wakrah escaped conceding a goal from double attempts by Qatar SC. Elmehdi Barrahma’s angular shot from outside the box struck the goalpost and keeper Saoud Al Khater did well to clear the ball after Bashar Resan hit on target a rebound from near the penalty area in the 65th minute.
The Al Wakrah goalkeeper stopped the ball after a low hit by Bashar from close range five minutes later as teams continued to seek that elusive goal.
Barrahma attempted to score a stunning goal from around 20 yards outside the box, but his rocket was well punched away by flying keeper Al Khater.
Three minutes on, Lucas Mendes took inspiration from Barrahma’s long-range shot and attempted one from a longer distance. Standing close to the half line, Mendes fired a bullet on a free-kick.
Qatar SC keeper Al Hail jumped high to parry the ball over the crossbar on what was a spectacular shot taken with absolute command by Mendes.

الدوحة: حسمت نتيجة التعادل السلبي مباراة الوكرة مع نادي قطر، التي جرت بينهما الأمس على استاد حمد الكبير بالنادي العربي، في ختام منافسات الجولة الـ17 للدوري القطري لكرة القدم (دوري نجوم QNB) .
وبهذه النتيجة، حصد كلا الفريقين نقطة وحيدة رفعت رصيد نادي قطر للنقطة 28 في المركز الثالث، كما رفعت رصيد الوكرة للنقطة 15 في المركز العاشر.
وكانت الجولة الماضية، شهدت فوز نادي قطر على أم صلال بهدف دون رد، وبنفس النتيجة خسر الوكرة أمام العربي.
وسيواجه نادي قطر في الجولة المقبلة نظيره العربي، فيما يلاقي الوكرة فريق السيلية.
جاءت مباراة نادي قطر والوكرة متوسطة المستوى، حيث تبادل الطرفان السيطرة على مجريات اللقاء بحثا عن افتتاح النتيجة، وشهدت بداية المباراة ضغطا هجوميا من جانب الوكرة لتسجيل هدف السبق لكنها اصطدمت بالصلابة الدفاعية لنادي قطر الذي نجح في المحافظة على نظافة شباكه.
وجاءت أبرز فرص الوكرة في الدقيقة الثامنة من رأسية عمر علي التي مرت الى ركلة مرمى، كما ضاعت فرصة أخرى للوكرة من رأسية عبد النور بلحسيني في الدقيقة 15.
ورغم أفضلية الوكرة لكنه لم يتمكن من معانقة الشباك، في المقابل جاء أول تهديد من جانب نادي قطر من تسديدة يوسف بلايلي في الدقيقة 28 والتي مرت بعيدة عن المرمى.
وفي الدقيقة 39، بدأ نادي قطر يبادل الوكرة الهجمات، وكاد أن يفتتح النتيجة بواسطة لاعبه أنتوني أكبوتو بعد انفراد تام بالمرمى لكن سعود الخاطر حارس مرمى الوكرة نجح في انقاذ مرماه من هدف محقق وتصدى لتسديدة أكبوتو القوية.
وتواصل الضغط من جانب نادي قطر لكن دون جدوى لينتهي الشوط الاول بنتيجة التعادل السلبي بين الفريقين.
ومع انطلاق الشوط الثاني، حاول الوكرة الوصول لشباك منافسه بواسطة لاعبه عبدالغني منير بعد أن سدد كرة قوية أبعدها جاسم الهيل حارس مرمى نادي قطر.
وشهدت الدقيقة 61 طرد حكم المباراة للاعب الوكرة ياسين عبد الله بعد حصوله على الانذار الثاني، إثر مخالفة ارتكبها مع حامد إسماعيل، ليهدر بعدها مباشرة أنتونيو أكبوتو لاعب نادي قطر فرصة تسجيل أول أهداف اللقاء لمصلحة نادي قطر، كما حرم القائم الأيمن الوكرة من استقبال هدف بعد تسديدة قوية للمهدي برحمة وتألق سعود الخاطر حارس نادي الوكرة بعدها فأبعد تسديدة بشار رسن.
وتواصلت المباراة وسط رغبة كبيرة من الفريقين للتسجيل لتضيع أكثر من فرصة أبرزها تسديدة خالد وليد لاعب قطر التي اصطدمت بالقائم، وشهدت الدقائق التالية ضغطا متواصلا من جانب نادي قطر لتسجيل هدف الأسبقية مستفيدا من النقص العددي في صفوف الوكرة، ولكن دون جدوى حتى أعلن الحكم عن نهاية المباراة بتعادل الفريقين سلبيا.
وأقيمت مباراتان، انتهت بفوز الأهلي على أم صلال بهدف دون رد، وتعادل الخور مع السيلية بهدف لمثله.
وكانت الجولة الـ17 للدوري القطري انطلقت /الاثنين/ وشهدت فوز السد على العربي بنتيجة (3 -2)، وتغلب الدحيل على الغرافة بهدفين لهدف، وتخطى الريان نظيره الخريطيات بثلاثية نظيفة.
