Doha: Parents leaving their children in the car alone, even if for a few minutes, puts their lives at risk, these minutes may turn into a disaster that cost them the lives of their children.

So, why shouldn’t you leave your child alone in the car?

Writer Ashley Wehurley says that the many daily tasks that fall on the shoulders of parents and the lack of time lead some to leave their children in the car instead of taking them with them, according to a report published by the US site Moms.

In the report, the author mentioned six main reasons for parents not to leave their children alone in the car:

1. the child’s psyche

وذكرت الكاتبة في التقرير ستة أسباب رئيسية للآباء كي لا يتركوا أطفالهم لوحدهم داخل السيارة:

1. خوف الطفل

إن ترك الطفل لوحده بالسيارة يُشعره بالخوف خاصة لو كان لا يدرك كثيرًا ما يدور حوله، وتجعل الطفل يسأل نفسه إن كان أبويه سيعودين إليه مرة أخرى أم لا. فتتأثر نفسية الطفل كثيرًا، لذلك ينبغي تفهم نفسية الطفل.

2. ارتفاع درجة حرارة الطفل

تتحول السيارات عند إغلاق أبواب السيارة ونوافذها إلى بيوت محمية زجاجية، لذلك ترتفع درجة الحرارة فيها بشكل كبير. وبالتالي ستزيد درجة حرارة جسم الطفل وينقص الأكسجين ويصبح بقاءه داخل السيارة أمرًا في غاية الخطورة.

3. عبث الطفل بناقل الحركة

قد ينتقل الطفل إذا تُرك لوحده دون رقابة إلى مقعد السائق ويعبث في ناقل الحركة، مما قد يؤدي إلى تحرك السيارة إلى وضع الحركة وحدوث كوارث مميتة.

4. نسيان المفاتيح

ينسى الكثير مفاتيح السيارة داخلها، ويحتاج طلب المساعدة وفتح السيارة وقتًا طويلًا. فإن كان الطفل داخل السيارة ستتعرض حياته للخطر.

5. سرقة السيارة

عندما يُترك الطفل بمفرده في السيارة، قد يتعرض لخطر شديد إذا أقدم أحد اللصوص على سرقة السيارة. ومن المحتمل ألا يلحظ الشخص الذي سرق السيارة وجود الطفل في المقعد الخلفي.

6. مخالفة القانون

يُعتبرك ترك الطفل لوحده مخالفًا للقانون لدى مختلف دول العالم، وقد يتحول إلى جناية إن أصيب الطفل بمكروه.
