Qatar Airways is reinstating flights to Tanzania’s capital from today. The airline will operate three times weekly to Dar es Salaam.
“Qatar Airways is reinstating flights to Tanzania’s capital today, operating a three times weekly service. Enjoy its beaches, markets, and historic buildings this summer,” the airline said on Twitter.
Last week Qatar Airways had resumed flights to Istanbul, the biggest city in Turkey.
Qatar’s national carrier is still operating flights to many cities around the world, helping thousands of passengers get home safely.
Last month, the airline had announced that it would expand its network in phased manner.
By the end of June, the airline aims to have 80 destinations in the schedule including 23 in Europe, four in the Americas, 20 in Middle East/Africa and 33 in Asia-Pacific. The airline had said that the gradual expansion would focus initially on strengthening connections between the airline’s hub in Doha with the global hubs of its partner airlines around the world.
“We are still operating flights to many cities around the world including Milan, Madrid, Seoul, and Sydney helping thousands of passengers get home safely,” said the airline in a tweet.
Qatar Airways has continued to operate a significant schedule operating over 15,000 flights to take over 1.8 million people home. The airline’s cargo division has prioritised medical and aid shipments working closely with governments and NGOs to transport over 200,000 tonnes of essential supplies to impacted regions.

ومن جانب آخر استأنفت الخطوط الجوية القطرية امس رحلاتها إلى دار السلام في تنزانيا بواقع ثلاث رحلات أسبوعيا وتعتبر دار السلام أحد أكبر المدن الأفريقية ومقراً مهماً للتجارة والسياحة في منطقة شرق أفريقيا، كما تعتبر تنزانيا محط أنظار المزيد من المسافرين للعمل أو السياحة، وأعلنت الخطوط الجوية مؤخرا عن نقل جميع عملياتها في دار السلام إلى مبنى الركاب الجديد 3 في مطار جوليوس نيريري الدولي.
وتسير الخطوط القطرية رحلاتها إلى تنزانيا منذ عام 2007 وقد ساهم هذا الخط الحيوي في تعزيز العلاقات السياحية والتجارية والاقتصادية بين البلدين، وتوفر القارة الأفريقية فرص توسعة كبيرة للخطوط الجوية القطرية. وتعد دار السلام إحدى الوجهات التجارية الرئيسية في أفريقيا، بالإضافة إلى كونها بوابة للعطلات المثيرة، حيث تتمتع هذه المدينة بطبيعة خلابة مثل قمم جبال كلمنجارو البركانية والمحميات الطبيعية.
وأعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية مؤخراً البدء بإعادة تشغيل رحلاتها إلى شبكة وجهاتها العالمية على نحو تدريجي بما يتماشى مع تزايد الطلب على السفر وتخفيف القيود المفروضة على دخول العديد من الدول حول العالم. وقبل نهاية شهر يونيو، تتطلع الخطوط القطرية إلى تشغيل رحلاتها إلى 80 وجهة عالمياً، مع إضافة المزيد من الوجهات قبل نهاية فصل الصيف.
