Equine manuscript exhibition opens at KIAHF

Doha: A group of activities accompanying the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival was inaugurated yesterday at the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, which is represented by a number of distinctive art exhibitions that highlighted the status of Arabian horses from various creative perspectives.
Among these exhibitions, we mention an exhibition of manuscripts about the horses of the East and their breeds, an exhibition of the purebreds, an exhibition of horse paintings, the activity of drawing on the saddle of the horse, in addition to the activity of art formations on cubes and the activity of 3D on the ground, the activity of the art of models, the display of books on horses, the exhibition of Horse photography, carousel of horses and Horse Postage Gallery.
Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, Director General of the Cultural Village Foundation / Katara / and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Katara International Festival of Arabian Horses, emphasized that the festival contributes to preserving Qatar’s rich heritage in equestrian sport, in addition to strengthening the status of the purebred Arabian horses locally, regionally and internationally, praising the high artistic level of the various exhibitions accompanying the festival.
He praised and lauded the artists participating in the various exhibitions, expressing his admiration for the diversity of art schools, all of which dealt with horses as the focus of the festival.
Regarding the Manuscripts Exhibition on the Horses of the East and Their Dynasties, which was inaugurated by the Director-General of Katara in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Janusz Janke, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the State of Qatar, who said, “The Manuscript Exhibition on the Horses of the East and its Dynasties documents a very important journey for a Polish traveler to Arabia that took two years.” That the exhibition is of particular importance due to the illustrations it contains about Arabian horses and their descriptions, in addition to the Arab tribes that own the purebred horses and their noble breeds, stressing that the artist Wenceslas Sefirin exhibition provides accurate and comprehensive information for equestrian enthusiasts about Arabian horses, their breeds, breeding methods and their classifications, in addition to maps of regions. Which are distributed by the Arab tribes that the travelers passed by.
Regarding the Al-Aseel exhibition, Sheikha Sarah Fahad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Arabian Horse Center / Beit Al-Arab /, said that the exhibition included wonderful artistic works, praising the festival for its various sports activities related to horses and other artistic and cultural activities.

الدوحة: افتتحت في المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/، الأمس، مجموعة من الفعاليات المصاحبة لمهرجان /كتارا/ الدولي للخيل العربية، والتي تتمثل في عدد من المعارض الفنية المميزة التي أبرزت مكانة الخيل العربية من زوايا إبداعية متنوعة.
ومن بين هذه المعارض، نذكر معرض مخطوطات عن خيل المشرق وسلالاتها ومعرض الأصيل، ومعرض لوحات الخيول، وفعالية الرسم على سرج الخيل، بالإضافة إلى فعالية تشكيلات فنية على المكعبات وفعالية الأبعاد الثلاثية على الأرض، وفعالية فن المجسمات، وعرض كتب عن الخيل، ومعرض التصوير الضوئي للخيل، ومنصة خيل دوارة كاروسيل، ومعرض الطوابع البريدية للخيل.
وفي هذا السياق، أكد الدكتور خالد بن إبراهيم السليطي المدير العام للمؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/، ورئيس اللجنة المنظمة لمهرجان /كتارا/ الدولي للخيل العربية، أن المهرجان يساهم في الحفاظ على تراث دولة قطر الغني في رياضة الفروسية، بالإضافة إلى تعزيز مكانة سلالة الخيل العربية الأصيلة محليا، وإقليميا، ودوليا، مشيدا بالمستوى الفني الرفيع لمختلف المعارض المصاحبة للمهرجان.
كما أثنى على الفنانين المشاركين في مختلف المعارض، مبديا إعجابه بتنوع المدارس الفنية التي تناولت جميعها الخيل كمحور للمهرجان.
وعن معرض مخطوطات عن خيل المشرق وسلالاتها الذي افتتحه مدير عام /كتارا/ بحضور سعادة السيد يانوش يانكي سفير جمهورية بولندا لدى دولة قطر، قال سعادة السفير “إن معرض مخطوطات عن خيل المشرق وسلالاتها يوثق رحلة مهمة جدا لرحالة بولندي للجزيرة العربية استغرقت عامين”، مبينا أن المعرض يكتسب أهمية خاصة لما يتضمنه من رسوم عن الخيول العربية وأوصافها، بالإضافة إلى القبائل العربية التي تمتلك الخيول الأصيلة وسلالاتها النبيلة”، ومؤكدا أن معرض الفنان فاتسواف سفيرين يقدم معلومات دقيقة وشاملة لعشاق الفروسية عن الخيل العربية وسلالتها وطرق تربيتها وتصنيفاتها، بالإضافة إلى خرائط المناطق التي تتوزع عليها القبائل العربية التي مر عليها الرحالة.
وبخصوص معرض الأصيل، قالت الشيخة سارة فهد الصباح، المدير العام لمركز الجواد العربي /بيت العرب/، إن المعرض تضمن أعمالا فنية رائعة، مثنية على المهرجان لما احتواه من فعاليات متنوعة رياضية مرتبطة بالخيل وأخرى فنية وثقافية.
