Le Monde Arabe: 60 International sports events to be hosted by Qatar in 2021

Doha: Qatar is strengthening its capabilities as a global sporting and tourism destination through a range of great potentials that it already has to ensure the organization of other sporting and strategic events that are important both in terms of its standing for the global public and in terms of its ability to promote Doha in the world, according to the report by The French website Le Monde Arabe translated by Al-Sharq, Doha succeeded in establishing and implementing sports diplomacy, which contributed to a series of radical changes in the country. Doha has completed 90% of the infrastructure to host the 2022 World Cup, including two stadiums and the Doha Metro, while preserving the environment, setting an example in the Middle East.

The report explained that Doha has gained important experience, thanks to the world of football, in organizing international events, which will make it able to invest this experience and great capacity in organizing and hospitality in the future. In 2030, Qatar will host the Asian Games, but before that, in 2021 alone, it will host at least 60 major sporting events, in football, beach volleyball, table tennis, volleyball and more. The report continued: For several years, the Gulf region has sought to draw attention to its ability to be a magnet for world-renowned culture and sports, and Qatar was the most prominent country that succeeded in these endeavors, the world will remember the unshakeable success when Qatar won the hosting of the largest event in the world of sports, and has already won important points, from November 21 to December 18, 2022, it will host the first World Cup in an Arabic country coinciding with the National Day.

The report also noted that Doha is working to create the optimal conditions for the reception and safety of large audiences and the year 2021 represents a turning point in this regard, because two historic events will take place in the coming months and Doha has become a major hub for global air traffic – especially for European travellers to Asia – that should enable Doha to become a final tourist destination in its own right. Moreover, Qatar’s National Vision 2030 is based on the success of cultural and sports diplomacy to achieve sustainable development in the country, a trend that Qatar has been adopting for years, and to develop a clear strategy in the coming months, by securing the organization of many other major competitions and attracting the world’s most important sports teams.

الدوحة: أكد تقرير لموقع “لوموند أراب” الفرنسي أن دولة قطر تعزز قدراتها كوجهة رياضية وسياحية عالمية من خلال مجموعة من الامكانيات الكبرى التي تمتلكها بالفعل لتأمين تنظيم أحداث رياضية واستراتيجية أخرى تستمد أهميتها سواء من حيث مكانتها بالنسبة للجمهور العالمي أو من حيث قدرتها على الترويج للدوحة في العالم. وبين التقرير الذي ترجمته “الشرق” أن الدوحة نجحت في تأسيس وتنفيذ الدبلوماسية الرياضية التي ساهمت في مجموعة من التغييرات الجذرية في البلاد. وتمكنت الدوحة من الانتهاء من 90٪ من البنية التحتية لاستضافة كأس العالم 2022، بما في ذلك ملعبان ومترو الدوحة، مع الحرص على الحفاظ على البيئة، وهو ما يجعلها مثالا يحتذى به في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.

أوضح التقرير أن الدوحة اكتسبت خبرة مهمة، بفضل عالم كرة القدم، في تنظيم الأحداث الدولية مما سيجعلها قادرة على استثمار هذه التجربة والقدرات الكبيرة في التنظيم والضيافة في المستقبل. في عام 2030، ستستضيف قطر دورة الألعاب الآسيوية، ولكن قبل ذلك، في عام 2021 وحده، ستستضيف ما لا يقل عن 60 حدثًا رياضيًا رئيسيًا، في كرة القدم وكرة الطائرة الشاطئية وتنس الطاولة والكرة الطائرة وغيرها. وتابع التقرير: لعدة سنوات، سعت منطقة الخليج إلى لفت الانتباه إلى قدرتها على أن تكون قوة جذب للثقافة والرياضة ذات الشهرة العالمية، وكانت قطر أبرز الدول الذي نجحت في هذه المساعي، سيتذكر العالم النجاح الذي لا يتزعزع عندما فازت قطر بتنظيم الحدث الأكبر في عالم الرياضة، وحصدت بالفعل نقاط مهمة، وستنظم في الفترة من 21 نوفمبر إلى 18 ديسمبر 2022، الذي يصادف يومها الوطني، أول كأس عالم لكرة القدم في دولة عربية.

كما بين التقرير ان الدوحة تعمل على تهيئة الظروف المثلى لاستقبال الجماهير الكبيرة وتأمين سلامتها ويمثل عام 2021 نقطة تحول في هذا الصدد، لأن حدثين تاريخيين سيقعان في الأشهر القادمة وأصبحت الدوحة مركزا أساسيا للحركة الجوية العالمية – وخاصة للمسافرين الأوروبيين إلى آسيا – يجب أن يمكّن هذا التوجه من أن تصبح الدوحة وجهة سياحية نهائية في حد ذاتها. علاوة على ذلك، فإن رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030، ترتكز على نجاح الدبلوماسية الثقافية والرياضية لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة في الدولة، وهو التوجه الذي تعتمده قطر منذ سنوات، ووضع استراتيجية واضحة في الأشهر المقبلة، من خلال تأمين تنظيم العديد من المسابقات الكبرى الأخرى واستثقطاب أهم الفرق الرياضية العالمية.
