QOC Signs agreements to support the Elite Athletes Program

Doha: Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) signed on Sunday two agreements with Aamal QPSC and Ibin Ajayan Projects, under which the two companies join Team Qatar Supporters Program.
HE QOC President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE Aamal’s Chairman Sheikh Faisal bin Qassem Al-Thani, Chairman of Ibn Ajayan Projects Mohammed bin Mahdi Ajayan Al Ahbabi attended the signing ceremony.
The support of Aamal and Ibn Ajayan Projects contributes to providing the optimal environment for preparing and equipping elite athletes for major tournaments and setting up the training camps required for them. Aamal signed a three-year agreement with QOC. Ibn Ajayan Projects signed a four-year agreement with QOC.
HE QOC President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani thanked Aamal and Ibin Ajayan Projects, appreciating their valuable contribution in supporting elite athletes, which will be positively reflected on their participation in the upcoming events, foremost among which is the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
HE the QOC President affirmed that the role of the private sector in supporting Qatari sports is important and essential, as it is increasing steadily, praising Aamal and Ibin Ajayan Projects for their active involvement in supporting elite athletes, which will be clearly demonstrated through the participation of these Qatari athletes in the upcoming tournaments, including 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
He added that national companies, and within the framework of their commitment to their social responsibility, are considered one of the main partners in the development of the sports movement in the country and that they play a role that deserves thanks in this regard, stressing the importance of continuing to expand and develop this national role, which is positive for the country and its global sporting position.
HE QOC President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani indicated that all the QOC capabilities are, and will remain fully devoted to the Qatari sports teams and Qatari athletes in all individual and team games and tournaments to achieve new accomplishment at all levels.
On this occasion, HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani commented: “I am pleased to witness the cooperation with the Olympic Committee and support the AlAdaam team, which we hope will see excellence and success in the coming period. In Aamal, we appreciate the great efforts made by the Qatar Olympic Committee to sponsor sports and community activities and to promote the massive practice of these sports in the Qatari society. In support of the importance that our wise government attaches to promoting the importance of sport in human life as part of a healthy lifestyle, this sponsorship is an important part of our Companys social responsibility, as we carry out many activities aimed at raising awareness of best practices. Finally, we hope that this sponsorship will achieve its desired goal, and that we will witness Al Adaam team achieving great success.”
Chairman of Ibn Ajayan Projects Mohammed bin Mahdi Ajayan Al Ahbabi expressed his happiness to contribute to support Team Qatar and Qatari athletes, stressing the state provides all capabilities to raise the level of sports and athletes in the State of Qatar.

الدوحة: وقعت اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية الأمس اتفاقيتين مع شركتي أعمال وابن عجيان للمشاريع تقدم بموجبهما الشركتان دعما ماديا لبرنامج رياضيي النخبة التابع للجنة.
حضر مراسم التوقيع سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية، وسعادة الشيخ فيصل بن قاسم آل ثاني رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة أعمال، والسيد محمد بن مهدي عجيان الأحبابي رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة ابن عجيان للمشاريع.
ويسهم دعم شركتي أعمال وابن عجيان للمشاريع في توفير البيئة الأمثل لإعداد وتجهيز رياضيي النخبة للبطولات الكبرى وإقامة المعسكرات التدريبية اللازمة لهم، على أن تكون الاتفاقية الموقعة مع شركة أعمال لمدة 3 سنوات، فيما تستمر الاتفاقية مع شركة ابن عجيان للمشاريع لمدة 4 سنوات.
وتوجه سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية بالشكر إلى شركتي أعمال وابن عجيان للمشاريع، مثمنا مساهمتهما القيمة في دعم رياضيي النخبة والتي ستنعكس إيجابا على مشاركاتهم في الاستحقاقات المقبلة وفي مقدمتها دورة الألعاب الأولمبية الصيفية المقبلة-طوكيو 2020.
وأكد سعادته أن دور القطاع الخاص في دعم الرياضة القطرية مهم وأساسي ، كما أنه يزداد بشكل مطرد، مشيدا في هذا المجال بشركتي “أعمال” و”ابن عجيان” للمشاريع على ريادتهما للقطاع وانخراطهما بشكل فعال في دعم رياضيي النخبة، وهو ما سيتجلى بوضوح من خلال مشاركات هؤلاء الرياضيين القطريين في البطولات المقبلة، خاصة دورة الألعاب الأولمبية الصيفية – طوكيو 2020.
وأضاف أن الشركات الوطنية، وفي إطار التزامها بمسؤوليتها الاجتماعية، تعتبر من الشركاء الأساسيين في تطوير الحركة الرياضية بالبلد وأنها تضطلع بدور يستحق الشكر في هذا الصدد، مؤكدا أهمية الاستمرار في توسيع وتطوير هذا الدور الوطني الذي يعود بالإيجابية على البلد ومكانته الرياضية العالمية.
وأشار سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني إلى أن جميع إمكانيات اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية كانت وما زالت وستبقى مسخرة بشكل كامل للمنتخبات الرياضية القطرية والرياضيين القطريين في جميع الألعاب والبطولات الفردية والجماعية من أجل ضمان تحقيق إنجازات جديدة باسم الوطن تضاف إلى سلسلة الإنجازات التي تحققت بفضل الله على كافة الأصعدة.
ومن جانبه، قال سعادة الشيخ فيصل بن قاسم آل ثاني ، “يسرني أن أشهد رعاية شركة أعمال لفريق الأدعم، والذي نأمل أن يشهد تألقاً ونجاحاً كبيرين في الفترة القادمة، بالإضافة إلى الأهمية الكبيرة التي توليها حكومتنا الرشيدة للرياضة والمحافظة على الصحة العامة للإنسان، والنهوض وتنمية مختلف نواحي الحياة في دولتنا الحبيبة قطر، فإننا في “أعمال” نعي أهمية الرياضة ودورها الحيوي في تنمية المجتمع.
وأشار سعادته إلى أن “هذه الرعاية تشكل جزءاً هاماً من المسؤولية المجتمعية لشركتنا، ونأمل من خلالها أن تحقق هذه الرعاية الغاية المرجوة منها، وأن نشهد وصول فريقنا الأدعم إلى أعلى المراتب”.
وفي السياق ذاته ، قال السيد محمد بن مهدي عجيان الأحبابي ، “نحن سعيدون جداً بمساهمتنا في دعم فريقنا الوطني فريق الأدعم، وأن نكون داعمين لمجموعة شبابية وموهوبة مثلهم، ونحن كلنا ثقة في مستوى فريقنا وفي الإمكانيات التي توفرها لهم الدولة للارتقاء بمستوى الرياضة والرياضين في دولة قطر”.
ويعد برنامج لاعبي النخبة أحد البرامج التي تعتمدها اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية لرعاية اللاعبين، حيث يهتم البرنامج بلاعبي النخبة الذين يحققون إنجازات على المستوى الأولمبي والقاري والعالمي، ويهدف إلى تحفيز اللاعبين على تحقيق الإنجازات وحثهم على المحافظة على الإنجازات.
ويمنح البرنامج اللاعبين العديد من المميزات والحوافز، الرامية لتوفير الأجواء المناسبة في التدريب وتطوير مستواهم الرياضي.
